ASVOFF Barcelona

As I said in a post 6 months ago, ASVOFF lands in Barcelona, ​​and it does today ( finally!). Barcelona hosts the first festival of fashion and film ASVOFF created by the international guru Diane Pernet .

Traditionally, fashion has been associated with the static image of photography. The best photographers have participated in runways, promotional campaigns and adverts, however moving image in fashion, has had lessimportance in the cinematographic world, even though great campaigns have been created and the fact that it’s a format that
allows for diverse, leading-edge directions. With this objective in mind, Diane Pernet created A Shaded View on Fashion Film in 2008, a festival completely dedicated to film and fashion and inspired by her own blog A Shaded View on Fashion where this critic, photographer and fashion pioneer exposes today’s cutting edge fashion and art and discovers new talent. The annual festival is held in Paris and cities linked to fashion and creative discovery, like New York, Tokyo, Mexico City, Moscow and London.
These capital cities are now joined by Barcelona.


A Shaded View On Fashion Film (ASVOFF) is the only festival in the world that combines these two disciplines.
It is an event that brings together big names in fashion, art and film. During the days 24, 25, 26 and January 27 Caixaforum , ASVOFF shows the best short films in which the trends in the field of creativity in fashion are absolute stars. It also offers thematic cycles, conferences and round tables with industry professionals.

Como dije en un post hace ya 6 meses, ASVOFF aterriza en Barcelona, y lo hace hoy (por fin!). Barcelona acoge la primera edición del festival de moda y cine ASVOFF creado por la gurú internacional Diane Pernet.

Tradicionalmente, la moda se ha asociado con la imagen estática de la fotografía. Los mejores fotógrafos han participado en campañas de promoción y publicidad, sin embargo, la imagen en movimiento en la moda ha tenido menos importancia en el mundo cinematográfico, aunque se han creado grandes campañas y se trata de un formato que permite diversidad de maneras de dirigir. Con este objetivo en mente, Diane Pernet ha creado A Shaded View on Fashion Film en 2008, un festival totalmente dedicado al cine y la moda e inspirado en su propio blog A Shaded View on Fashion donde esta pionera, crítica y fotógrafa de moda expone la moda más vanguardista, el arte y descubre nuevos talentos. El festival anual se celebra en París y las ciudades vinculadas a la moda y el descubrimiento creativo, como Nueva York, Tokio, México DF, Moscú y Londres. Estas capitales están ahora unidas por Barcelona.


A Shaded View On Fashion Film (ASVOFF) es el único festival del mundo que reúne estas dos disciplinas.
Es un evento que reúne grandes nombres del mundo de la moda, el arte y el cine. Durante los días 24, 25, 26 y 27 de Enero en Caixaforum, ASVOFF muestra los mejores cortometrajes en los que las tendencias en el ámbito de la creatividad en la moda son protagonistas absolutas. Además, ofrece ciclos temáticos, conferencias y mesas redondas con profesionales del sector.
