DIY #194. Guirnalda de triángulos sencilla sin coser/ No-sew triangle garland

Una de las razones por las que me compré mi máquina de coser, fue para aprender a hacer guirnaldas, sin embargo años después sigo sin saber hacer nada con la máquina. Por eso hoy os muestro cómo podemos hacer guirnaldas triangulares sin tener que utilizar la máquina de coser.

One of the reasons I bought my sew machine was to make garlands, but after a couple of years I still don’t know how to do it. That’s why I want to show you how to make a triangle garland without sewing.

Lo primero que haremos será recortar triángulos. Yo opté por cortar todos del mismo tamaño y color. Pero, las combinaciones pueden ser infinitas…

First thing you have to do is cuting the triangles (you can also make other shapes if you want to). I cut all of them in the same colour and size. But you can try other combinations…

Seguimos haciendo un agujero en el ángulo superior del triángulo y otro en el centro del lado contrario a ese ángulo. Depués solo tendremos que ir pasando hilo con una aguja para conseguir la guirnalda. Fácil, no?

We must make a little hole in the triangle angle and in the middle of the opposite side of it. Then you only have to put the thread through the triangle. Easy, isn’t it?!

Realmente es una manera muy resultona y que permite que la guirnalda sea vistosa por ambos lados. Si simplemente pegas de alguna manera los triángulos tienes que asegurarte de que la guirnalda no se da la vuelta. Sin embargo, de esta forma (siempre que utilices un hilo de un color similar al de la cartulina) no se apreciará si se trata de un lado o de otro. Supongo que coserla con máquina de coser es incluso más rápida, pero mientras aprendo, tendré que conformarme con la aguja y el hilo…

It really is a good way to get a beautiful garland,you can show in both sides. If you just glue the triangles, you must be careful to place the garland to be shown for the right side. I guess it is faster with the sewing machine, but while I learn how to do it, I must stay making them with needle and theard.
