'La Noche Más Oscura (Zero Dark Thirty)' triunfa en los premios del NYFCC y de la NBR

Es ya un hecho.
Hay nueva front-runner en la carrera por el Óscar. Las dudas se han despejado, 'Zero Dark Thirty', la última cinta de Bigelow, es una potencial candidata a salir victoriosa de la próxima gala en el Dolby Theatre. Y es que la cinta sobre la caza y captura de Bin Laden, ha obtenido los dos primeros grandes premios de la crítica de la temporada. El círculo de críticos de Nueva York la ha reconocido como mejor película del año, además de premiar a Kathryn Bigelow como mejor cineasta y a su fotografía, lo mismo ha hecho la National Board of Review que, en éste caso, ha decidido reconocer también a la dirección de Bigelow y a la interpretación de Jessica Chastain.
Precisamente Jessica Chastain, una de las favoritas a obtener la estatuilla dorada a mejor actriz, perdió la mención del Círculo de Críticos de Nueva York ante, contra todo pronóstico, Rachel Weisz. La intérprete compite en los Óscar gracias a 'The Deep Blue Sea' y, pese a que había sido olvidada por la crítica, vuelve a la carrera dando un fuerte golpe sobre la mesa ya que, además, ha sido designada por el medio Vulture como la mejor interpretación del año.
En el apartado interpretativo masculino, los premios se han repartido, Daniel Day Lewis por su papel en 'Lincoln' ha sido premiado por los críticos de Nueva York y Bradley Cooper ha hecho lo propio con la NBR, por su interpretación en 'Silver Linings Playbook'.
Si hablamos de actrices secundarias, hace sólo unos días, hablaríamos de Anne Hathaway, absoluta favorita por 'Los Miserables' hasta entonces. Pese a su condición, aún se mantiene, permitanme la expresión, "virgen" en ésta temporada. Aunque fue segunda en los premios del NYFCC, ganó Sally Field por 'Lincoln', no obtuvo, tampoco, el premio en la NBR. En su lugar, Ann Dowd, nombre que por el momento no había sido demasiado barajado como posible nominada, por la cinta 'Compliance' fue designada mejor actriz secundaria.
Leonardo DiCaprio sí que puede estar de enhorabuena, tras ver menguadas sus opciones en las últimas semanas, ha sido galardonado por la NBR como mejor actor secundario gracias a su papel de villano en 'Django Unchained', lo último de Tarantino. No tuvo tanta suerte en los premios del NYFCC donde Mathew McConaughey fue galardonado por sendos papeles en 'Magic Mike' y la comedia "indie', 'Bernie'.
Para cerrar el apartado interpretativo, cabe destacar que Tom Holland, por 'Lo Imposible' y Quvenzhané Wallis, por 'Bestias del sur salvaje' han sido designados como actores revelación de la temporada, y Jennifer Lawrence (por 'Silver Linings Playbook' y 'Los juegos del hambre'), Emmanuelle Riva (por 'Amour'), Jack Black (por 'Bernie'), Denis Lavant (por 'Holy Motors'), Joaquin Phoenix (por 'The Master'), Cristopher Waltz (por 'Django Unchained'), y Tomy Lee Jones (por 'Lincoln'), han sido las interpretaciones destacadas por el NYFCC como las mejores del año, además, claro, de los ganadores nombrados anteriormente.
Si 'Zero Dark Thirty' es la cara, 'The Master' es la cruz. La cinta de Paul Thomas Anderson se queda cerca de ganar el premio a la mejor película (quedó tercera) y, sobre todo, el de mejor director (segundo) en los premios de la NYFCC, por el contario no se cuela en el TOP 10 a lo mejor del año de la NBR en beneficio de otras películas como 'The Perks of Being Wallflower', 'Promised Land' o 'Looper', que sí lo han hecho. Relativa decepción la "escasa" presencia de 'Los Miserables' y 'Argo'. La primera sólo obtiene el premio al mejor reparto en la NBR y la segunda una mera mención especial a la dirección de Affleck en éstos mismos premios. Eso sí, ambas están en el TOP 10 de ésta organización. Decepción también, 'Life of Pi' sin ninguna mención en éste inicio de la carrera.
Tras un año, el pasado, algo flojo en lo que al cine de animación respecta, parece que ésta temporada la categoría va a estar más competida gracias a que cuenta con un Pixar que vuelve a ser, digamos, "premiable" y con un buen producto por parte de Dreamworks ('Rise of the Guardians'), además de con lo nuevo de la productora de 'Coraline', 'ParaNorman' o con lo último de Tim Burton, 'Frankenweenie'. Nueva York decidió premiar a éste último, mientras que la NBR se decantó por la actual favorita, '¡Rompe Ralph!', de Disney.  Además hemos conocido las nominaciones a los conocidos como 'Óscars de la animación', los premios Annie, en las cuales 'Brave', '¡Rompe Ralph!' y 'Rise of the guardians' han obtenido 10 menciones. 'Hotel Transylvania' y 'ParaNorman' han conseguido 8 menciones y 'Frankenweenie' junto con '¡Piratas!', 5.
