La Writers Guild of America, el sindicato de scripters norteamericano, ha publicado un listado de las 101 televisivas que, a su parecer, contienen el mejor libreto de la historia y, como en todos los rankings, se han dejado ver presencias merecídísimas, como el primer puesto de Los Soprano, pero también destacadas injusticias, como la decisión de colocar Juego de Tronos por debajo de Sexo en Nueva York o la ubicación en los últimos lugares de Boardwalk Empire, así como la exclusión de Padre de Familia y, en cambio, la inclusión de South Park, o para muchos, ausencias que duelen como la de Fringe, Carnivale o incluso El Príncipe de Bel Air.
