Leyre valiente ss 2014

Las semanas de la moda son una locura, da igual que tengan lugar en Nueva York, Milán, Paris, Londres o Madrid. El plan es el mismo, la diferencia es que los escenarios de las principales capitales de la moda son puro espectáculo; cada diseñador escoge su propio escenario, mientras que en Madrid se centraliza todo en el centro ferial IFEMA, a excepción de los desfiles paralelos conocidos como OFF que se celebran en distintos enclaves de la capital española y que pertenecen a la MFSHOW. / Fashion weeks are crazy, it doesn't matter if they take place in New York, Milan, Paris, London or Madrid. The plan is the same, the difference is the while in the main fashion cities catwalks are pure shows; each designer chose the place, while in Madrid are set at IFEMA, but the paralele catwalks known as OFF, that take place in different places of the citie and that are part of MFSHOW.
Una de las diseñadores que desfilo en OFF fue Leyre Valiente, la misma tarde que Assaad Awad, ese viernes de temperatura extraordinaria y de ambiente perfecto en Madrid. "Amphibia, the gill girl" es el nombre que le dió la diseñadora madrileña a su colección. Como todas las colecciones de Leyre esta también mezcla arte, moda y ciencia ficción. Mostrando su gran afición al cine (Leyre estudio comunicación audiovisual), Leyre se inspira, para su colección primavera-verano 2014, en las películas "The Host" (2006), y "La Mujer y el Monstruo" (1954), y en las ilustraciones del mundo marino de Ernest Haeckel. / One of the designers that catwalk in OFF was Leyre Valiente, the same evening than Assaad Awad, a friday with an extrahordinary degrees and perfect feeling at MAdrid. "Amphinia, the gill girl" is the name she give it to het collection. As all her works this time Leyre also mix art. fashion and sience fiction. Showing her passion for the movie industrie (Leyre had studied cinema at the university). Leyre gets inpired, for her Spring-Summer 2014 collection, in the movies "The Host" (2006) and "Creature from the Black Lagoon" (1954), and the ilustration of the sea world by Ernest Haeckel. 
Para dar ambiente de puro espectáculo, el desfile comienza con la actuación de jóvenes contorsionistas. Tras su finalización el desfile comienza... / To creat a pure show, the catwalk begings with young contortionist women. After them, the runway beggings... 



La mujer que concibe Leyre es una mujer pez, sobria, elegante, de piel escamosa, tez palida, de gran belleza y superioridad, pero que es menos mujer y mas criatura. Un ejemplo de su modelo de mujer es la actriz Kate Blanchett o Rooney Mara. A esa mujer Leyre la denomina "mujer branquia", una mujer que gracias a la sociedad en la que vivimos cada vez consume mas sustancias dañinas para el organismo; mercurio, parabenes, aluminio, arsénico, etc, sustancias que nos van matando poco a poco y que terminan transformándose en alegrías, cáncer, etc. Tal como concibe Leyre este asunto, el ser humano tendra que mutar, transformarse para sobrevivir, una mutuacion que recuerda a las películas de ciencia ficción.  / The woman Leyre conceives is a fish women, sober, elegant, with scaled skin, pale complexion, of tremendious beauty and superiority but is less woman and more creature. An example of her model of women is the actress Kate Blanche or Rooney Mara. She calles her "gillgirl", a woman that thanks to society in where we life each day consume more hard substances for the body; mercury, paraben, aluminium, arsenic, etc, substances that are killing us slowly and end up turing into alergies, cancer, etc. As Leyre sees it, the human been will have to mutate , suffer a trnsformation to life, a mutation that reminds to the sience fiction movies.


La colección tiene una fuerte personalidad pero sus colores y tejidos son delicados. Distintas tonalidades de rosas y coral, azules, blanco perla, granate y rojos, blanco y negro, verde menta, amarillo y naranja. En cuanto a los tejidos: organzas de seda superpuestas, plisados de organza y raso, transparencias que simulan las branquias de los peces. / The collection got a strong personality but with fragil colors and fabrics. Diffrents tones of pink and coral, blues, perl white, maroon and reds, black and shite, mint green, yellow and orange. About fabrics: silk organze superimpose, pletes organze and satin, transparences that represents the gills of the fish.




Entre las prendas priman los vestidos (pieza favorita de la diseñadora) acompañados de algún pantalón, abrigo de verano, faldas y tops. Son prendas oníricas, conceptuales. Los volúmenes y las transparencias juegan un papel muy importante en esta colección. / Among the clothing dresses are esential (they are the favorite garment of the designer), they catwalk along with few pants, summer coats, skirts and tops. They are oneiric, conceptual. Volumes and sheer plays an important part of the collection.



Para la noche, elegantes vestidos largos con aberturas en los laterales que dejan entrever las piernas de las modelos, o con notas asimétricos. Y vestidos cortos muy llamativos. / For the evening, elegant gowns with side openings that shows the models legs or with assymetric notes. And short garish dresses.




Mi pieza favorita es un vestido largo de noche que deja ver tímidamente la piel de la modelo, tendencia que seguiremos viendo la próxima primavera. / My favorite piece is a long black gown that shows shyly the skin of the model, trend that we will continue see next spring.

Leyre Valiente vuelve a demostrar, una vez mas, su creatividad y gran talento. La moda española tiene mucho futuro si seguimos contando con diseñadores como Leyre, Amay Arzuaga, Ana Locking, entre otros. / Leyre VAliente shows, once more, her creativity and huge talent. Spanish pashion has a lot of future if we got designers such Leyre, Amaya Arzuega, Ana Locking, among others.
