Lo último que he hecho / My last creations

Este curso (como soy profesora mi año va de septiembre a julio) ha sido maravilloso a nivel profesional: mi escuela, The Crafty Room, ha crecido mucho; mi colaboración con Burda me ha permitido desarrollar proyectos de costura con los que me siento muy satisfecha y aunque el blog se ha resentido, he estudiado y trabajado mucho en mi taller. Disminuir el ritmo del blog fue una difícil decisión que todavía me duele, pero no tenía otra opción, me es imposible llegar a todo.
This school year (as I am a teacher my year comes from September to July) has been wonderful at professional level: my school, The Crafty Room, has grown significantly; my collaboration with Burda has allowed me to develop sewing projects with which I feel very satisfied and though the blog has suffered, I have studied and worked very much at my workshop. To slow the pace of the blog was a difficult decision that still hurts me, but it did not have another option, it is impossible for me to reach all.

Los últimos meses me he dedicado especialmente a tres técnicas que quería perfeccionar: amigurumis, bordado ruso y bordado Sashiko.
Lasts months I have worked specially on three techniques that it wanted to perfect: amigurumis, punch needle embroidery and Sashiko embroidery.
He disfrutado con tres de mis diseñadoras favoritas de amigurumis: Picapau, Lalylala y  Mandelenón. Estudiar las diferencias entre sus patrones me ha enseñado mucho.
I have enjoyed three of my favorite amigurimis designers: Picapau, Lalylala and Mandelenón. Studying the differences between their patterns has taught me a lot.

Con el bordado ruso quería mejorar el trazo y probar formas más complicadas de punto llano. Finalmente me decidí por dibujar y bordar las cuatro estaciones. Para lo mal que dibujo no están mal.
With the punch needle embroidery I wanted to improve the stroke and to try more complicated shapes of running stitch. Finally I decided to draw and embroider the four seasons. As bad as I draw, I think they look nice.




Como ya os conté, después de mucha preparación he comenzado a impartir clases de Sashiko. Podría decir que he bordado hasta la saciedad, pero no es cierto. Nunca me canso de este bordado, es súper relajante y el resultado me encanta.
As already I told you, after much preparation I have started to give classes of Sashiko. It could say that I have embroidered to death, but it is not true. I never get tired of this embroidery, it is super relaxing and I love the result.


De costura he hecho muchas cosas, pero la más divertida es estuche para mi hija, fan de los pandas.
I have made many things of sewing, but the most fun was a case for my daughter, fan of pandas.
