Louis Vuitton AW 2014

Era la primera vez que la marca francesa me invitaba a su showroom. Planta sexta de un edificio en plena urbe y fuera aire y agua luchaban por encabezar el puesto. Se abre el ascensor, giro a la puerta y lo primero que veo es un cartel con las letras Louis Vuitton. ¿A qué fashionista no se le moverían las tripas?

Nunca me he perdido los desfiles de Vuitton pero no tiene nada que ver tener la colección delante. El viaje, ese tipo que nunca sale de sus colecciones y por ello está presente en toda ella viajando por Sudamérica. Por ello mezcla artesanía con lo digital y tecnológico. La inspiración en América la vemos por ejemplo en un jersey que sigue un motivo de las líneas de Nazca y en la utilización de vicuña-extreme. En el desfile, que lo podéis encontrar en el post, también vemos plasmadas fotografías aéreas del desierto de Atacama. También se presenta la nueva versión de la piel clásica de la maison, Damier Cobalt, dando un color azul en la que Kim Jones dice: “Siempre pienso en el azul medianoche como un color muy parisino.” El Damier Cobalt aparece en una versión especial del clásico keepall y en bolsos tipo tote, bandoleras y carteras. Botas, zapatos bi-material usando caucho (muy presente en la los complementos) y piel acharolada, tachuelas en inspiración a los deseados baúles… Seda, chinchilla, cachemir, piel de becerro… ¡Una gran colección!

Boots , bi- materials using rubber shoes (very present in the supplements ) and patent leather , studs on the desired trunks inspiration… Silk , chinchilla , cashmere , calfskin… A great collection!
