Maxi dresses: a great option for summer

Los vestidos largos son una buena opción, que a menudo no tenemos en cuenta. Son frescos, estilosos, desenfadados, rebeldes, y cuentan con una gran personalidad. Es hora de dar un pequeño giro a tu vestuario. / Long dresses (or maxi, as you like) are a great option we usually don't think about. They are fresh, stylish, relaxed, and have a lot of personality. Is time to do a little twist to your closet.



En algunas culturas se asocia el vestido largo con ir arreglado, en otras con la playa y la informalidad, en algunas con la ideología hippie. Pero vamos, que el vestido largo se puede poner para cualquier ocasión, jugando con dos variables: el tejido del vestido, y los accesorios. / In some cultures maxi dresses are related to dress up, in others, to the beach, and casual look, and in others go along to the hippie philosophy. 1. Si eres pequeña o menudita. / For petites. 
- Escoge un vestido de cuerpo entero que se adapte perfectamente a tu cuerpo. Es importante que encuentres el equilibro entre tus distintas partes corporales. / Chose a full-length dress that suites you body perfectly. Is important to find the balance among all you body parts.
- El escote en pico hará que parezcas mas alta y esbelta. / V-neck will make you look taller and leaner. 

- Llevalo con tacones o cuñas, parecerás mucho mas alta. / Wear it with heels or wedges, you will look taller. 
- Los tonos oscuros como el negro, el marrón chocolate, los verdes y los granates te harán parecer mas alta. / Dark colors such as black, chocolate brown, greens and maroon will make you look taller. 
- En cuanto a los estampados, ten cuidado con ellos. Evita aquellos que sean de formas demasiado grandes, y opta mejor por aquellos de tamaño medio. - Mejor tirantes anchos. Haran que tus hombros parezcan mas delgados. / Go for wide straps. They will make your arm look thinner.
- Para estampados, escoge los de gran tamaño grande. / For pints better in a large size. 

- El negro, el marrón oscuro y el verde oliva harán que parezcas mas delgada. / Black, dark brown and olive will make you look skinner. 

- El escote que sea de pico, ya que crea una linea visual de arriba abajo. / Go for v-neck, it create a up and down visual line.
3. Otras claves. / Other clues. 
- Define tu cintura con un cinturón. / Define you waist with a belt. 

- La mejor opción es un vestido negro largo, te valdrá para todo. / The best option is a long black dress, it will work for any occasion.

- Para crear distintos estilismos con un solo vestido largo juega con los accesorios. Los colgantes, las joyas, los fulares y los zapatos son la clave. / To create different looks with the same dress play with accessories. Pendants, jewellery, scarves, and footwear are the clue. 

- Puedes crear un look de vestir con un vestido básico. El truco: añádele tacones y un clutch. / You can create a dress up look with a basic dress. The tip: add heels and a clutch.

- El calzado cuanto mas sencillo mejor. Evita las botas, y el zapato cerrado. / As footwear, as easy the best. Avoid boots, and close shoes.

Ya lo decía Cher en Clueless (Fuera de Onda) "si quieres conquistar a un hombre enseña tus hombros, les evoca al desnudo." / The concept "show your shoulders" is so in. Eso si, solo es apto para esta época del año. Nos gusta porque nos recuerda a Ibiza. / In summer white is the must color. Queda de lo mas femenino, sensual, y atrevido. Es perfecto cuando hace calor porque te permite estar mas fresquita. Puedes llevarla en el frente o al lado. En el frente es mas sensual pero asegúrate de que no quede justo en el frontal sino un poco en el lateral ya que quieres decir: "mírame, soy sensual pero insinuó mas que enseño". En el caso de que este en el lateral, no es un lateral propiamente dicho, sino que esta entre el lateral y la parte trasera, iras trendy y estilosa. / It's so feminine, sensual and daring. Is great with hot weather, it will allow you to be more fresh. You can wear it on the front or at the side. Queda genial para cualquier momento del día. Lo importante es utilizar los complementos adecuados. Solo con unas sandalias planas iras de lujo, pero si te lo pones con un chaleco seras la mas estilosa. / Is perfect for any time of the day. The clue is to use the right accessories. Es muy trendy, y si sabes llevarlo puede quedar muy estiloso, pero ojo, pasara de moda efimeramente. / In the middle of the leg, the dress turns transparent.
