(ENGLISH AHEAD) Ya he hablado en muchas ocasiones de mi viejo y añorado tocadiscos Philips, ese que rayaba los discos de forma inmisericorde y que sonaba a radio destartalada. No obstante, estaba acostumbrado a ese sonido sucio y poco delicado y a mí todo me parecía música angelical, especialmente ciertos discos que mis hermanas compraban y a mí me gustaba escuchar en solitario cuando no estaban es casa.
Uno de los primeros singles que recuerdo es este de Barry White. A nadie que se le ha ocurrido después eso de hacer pop con violines le ha salido tan bien la jugada, sin exceptuamos a la Electric Light Orchestra. Si se os queda algo de mal rollo después de chutaros este Love's Theme es que estáis enfermos. Un tema mágico, casi de cuento de hadas, evasivo y profundo al mismo tiempo y que a algunos le puede parecer hasta empalagoso... Pero es que a mí me chifla el dulce. Tanto que hoy en vez de turrón me voy a empachar de chocolate... blanco, por supuesto.

I have already dealt with how much I miss my old Philips record player, which used to so unmercifully scratch my records and sounded like an ancient radio receiver. However, I was used to that dirty undelicate sound and to me it was just so sweet, especially some records that my sisters had bought and I used to enjoy listening to when I was alone at home.
One of the first singles I can recall is this one by Barry White. No one after him that has attempted a pop song with violins has succeeded half as much, with the bright exception of the Electric Light Orchestra. If you're still in a bad mood after listening to Love's Theme, you really are sick. A magical theme, almost fairytale-like, elusive and profound at the same time, though too cloying for some people ... But, you see, I'm just mad about sweet dishes. So mad that today, instead of the traditional nougat I'm going to dip into a big cauldron of chocolate... White chocolate, of course.
I wish you a very sweet time today and the rest of your lives, and never let anything or anyone turn it bitter.
