Los premios Primetime Emmy son uno de los premios Emmy presentados por la Academia de Artes y Ciencias de la Televisión en reconocimiento a lo mejor del año en la programación televisiva estadounidense en horario primetime. Después de que el pasado año 2014 se despidiera "Breaking Bad" como mejor serie dramática, este año los Emmys prometen estar más competidos que nunca, con series como House of Cards, Homeland, Juego de Tronos y Mad Men, en su última temporada como grandes favoritas.
Este año, la gala contará con Andy Samberg como anfitrión (el reconocido comediante, parte de Saturday Night Live) y se llevará a cabo el 20 de septiembre en el Teatro Nokia de Los Ángeles (Estados Unidos).
