Taylor tomasi hill a fashion icon

Hace mucho que no dedicaba un post del "estilo de..." y ya tocaba. Son uno de mis post favoritos pero también llevan demasiado trabajo. En esta ocasión he elegido a Taylor Tomasi Hill, la editora de accesorios de Marie Claire Estados Unidos. Su estilo es tan distinto de otros que se puede aprender mucho de él por eso me parecía muy apropiado elegirla a ella en esta ocasión. / Its been a long time since I have done a post named  "the style of..." and it was about time. This time I have chose Taylor Tomasi Hill, the accessories editor of Marie Claire U.S.A. Her style is so different form the rest that it can been learn so much about it, that's why I thought its very appropriate chose her in this occasion.

Taylor nació en 1979 en Estados Unidos. Se licenció en Diseño Industrial en el Instituto Pratt de Nueva York. Sus primeras prácticas fueron en la revista W en el departamento de accesorios, gracias a ello se convirtió en la editora de moda de mercado y además asistía a la Directora de Moda de W, Alex White. Posteriormente, se convirtió en la editora de moda senior de Teen Vogue hasta agosto de 2009. En la actualidad, es la editora de accesorios de Marie Claire en Estados Unidos. / Taylor was born in 1979 at the United States of America. She have a Bachelor of Industial Design degree from Pratt Institute in New York. Her first internship  was at W magazine, in the accesories departament, thanks to that she become tha fashion-market editor plus she assisted the Fashion Director Editor of W Magazine, Alex White. Later she become the senior fashion editor at Teen Vogue until august 2009. At present, she is the accessories editor of Marie Claire U.S.

Taylor vive en Nueva York, en un apartamento en la zona oeste junto a su marido, Johnathan Chase Hill, con quien se casó el 17 de Mayo de 2008. Talor y John se conocieron en el instituto y empezaron a salir juntos en 1993. / Taylor lives in New York, in a West Village apartment with her husband, Johnathan Chase Hill, whome she marriage om May 17, 2008. Taylor and John met at High School and started dating in 1993.

Su estilo esta por toda la blogoesfera. Su pelo rojizo que causa envidias, la mezcla de estilos y el uso de  complementos son las caracteristicas que definen su estilo. / Her looks are over the blogsphere. Her red hair that causes envy, the mixture of styles and the use of accessories are the characterize that define her style.


A Tylor le encanta mezclar tendencias y estampados, pero también le gustan los look en negro de arriba a bajo porque hacen que resalte su pelirrojo.  Es que es como un camaleón porque su estilo cambia constantemente: la podemos ver con un estilo chic, con un look lady o con unos vaqueros rotos y cadenas al más puro estilo punk. Incluso puede ir exageradamente mal pero aún así capta las miradas de los paparazzi y sigue siendo un referente de estilo. Lo que es estupendo porque tiene su propia personalidad al vestir, y eso dice mucho de ella. / Taylor loves to mix trends and prints, but she also loves the total black looks because this way her rad hair highlight. She is as a chameleon, her style is constantly evolving: we can see her in a chic style, a lady look or with destroyed jeans and chains to the most pure punk style. She even can be dress terrible but she still catches the eyes of the paparazzi and reminds a benchmark of style. This is great because she has her personal style and it says a lot about her.

Aunque también viste de otros diseñadores como Givenchy, Isabel Marant, Balenciaga y Burberry. / Her favorite designers are: Pronza Schouler, Phillip Lim and Ann Demeulemeestre. But she also dress from other designers as Givenchy, Isabel Marant, Balenciaga and Burberry.

Aunque también le gusta comprar en J.Crew, Topshop y Zara. Le encanta mezclarlas con piezas de diseñador. / She also likes to shops in  J.Crew, Topshop and Zara. She love to mix and match this kind of pieces with runways onces.

Para ella es fundamental vestir cómoda, ya que pasa mucho tiempo corriendo por la ciudad, visitando showrooms, asistiendo a reuniones, ect. Además asiste a todas las semanas de la moda, y pasa mucho tiempo fuera de casa, así que considera los básicos como imprescindibles. Todo lo que sea muy corto, apretado o demasiado alto no va con ella. / For her is esencial to dress confortable, because she spent must of the time running around the city, going to showrooms, meetings, etc. Plus she goes to all the fashion weeks and spent a lot of time out of home, so basics are a must have for her. All that is too short, tight or too high doesn't go with her.



Debido a sus viajes, a aprendido a mezclar y reutilizar prendas. Es curioso ver como una misma prenda la utiliza y se la pone con estilos distintos. De estas combinaciones podemos sacar mucho partido y aprender a utilizar las prendas de nuestros armarios. Aquí os dejo algunos ejemplos que os pueden servir. / Due to her travels she has learn to mix and reuse garments with different looks. Its funny how she with a single garment she gets different outfits and styles. Of those combination we can get learn to use our closet garment in so many ways. Hear I leave you a few example.

Taylor, como muchas de nosotras, es una amante de los zapatos. Vamos a ver algunos de su colección. / Taylor, as most of us, its a shoe lover. Let's see some of the collection. 

Taylor tiene zapatos de Christian Louboutin, Yves Saint Laurent,  Alexander Wang, Dries Van Noten, Aliana, Phi, Rochas, Zara, etc. Sus favoritos son los taconazos pero combina distintos estilos; no siempre puedes ir con 11 cm.  / She has shoes from Christian Louboutin, Yves Saint Laurent, Alexander Wang, Dries Van Noten, Alaia, Phi, Rochas, Zara, etc. Her favorites are high heels but she mix styles; you can't always wear 11 cm.
Estos zapatos son los que llevó el día de su boda, posteriormente los a vuelto a utilizar. Son de Alaia. / Those are the shoes she wore on her wedding. Lately she has wore them again. They are from Alaia.

Para que luego digan eso de "en casa del herrero cuchillo de palo",  pues Taylor rompe con este refrán, ya que es sus estilismos incluyen siempre unos cuantos accesorios. / And so is said "in home of the blacksmith wooden knife" , Taylor breaks with this, her looks are full of accessories.

Se caracteriza por llevar collares gordos, bufandas, pulseras y últimamente un clutch azul de Celine que combina con cualquier look. / She is known for wearing chunky necklace, scarf , bracelets and lately a blue Celine clutch she mixes with everything.








Sus bolsos favoritos son los de Chanel, y en negro mejor. Aunque últimamente (como os acabo de comentar) no se separa de su clutch azul de Celine. / Her favorite bags are Chanel's and she preffers them in black. Althought lately (as I just told you) she doesn't go anywhere with out het blue Celine clutch. 



Para combinar sus looks usa mucho los cinturonesy fajines. Y su accesorio favorito son las gafas en forma de gato. / To mix her looks she uses a lot of belts. And her favorite acesorie are cat sunglasses.


 
Espero que os haya gustado el post y os sirva de inspiración, siempre se puede sacar algo de él.
