Transición del annapurna circuit (ac) al annapurna base camp (abc)

Una vez pasado Muktinath el recorrido del Annapurna Circuit sigue el mismo curso que la carretera. Es una carretera arenosa por la que circulan un montón de camiones, autocares, furgonetas y coches quemando aceite. Si a esto le añadimos el sol abrasador esta parte del trayecto no es nada apetecible.
En Nepal queríamos hacer el Annapurna Circuit y el Annapurna Base Camp situado en la zona del Annapurna Sanctuary. Durante los preparativos del viaje Marina encontró la manera de enlazar ambos recorridos en el pueblo de Totepani.
Íbamos en cierta manera un poco a contrarreloj ya que sabíamos que el monzón tropical ya hacía días que debería haber llegado así que en Muktinath nos subimos a un autobús que nos llevó a Jomsom y desde ahí fuimos en otro autocar hasta Totepani.
Ambos autobuses, evidentemente, de estilo asiático: motor que no se sabe como sigue funcionando, neumáticos sin dibujo, bancos en lugar de asientos, banda sonora de películas de Bollywood sonando a todo trapo y gente sentada casi hasta en el volante.Fueron viajes largos que se hicieron pesados tanto por el traqueteo natural cuando la carretera parece que acaba de ser bombardeada como por el estilo musical bollywoodiano, que se te mete en la cabeza y parece que alguien está rascando una pizarra con las uñas en el interior de tu cráneo.

The Annapurna Circuit follows the road pretty much from Muktinak to Totepani despite some efforts to keep a walking track away from the traffic. It’s a gravel road and lots of trucks, buses, vans and jeeps make daily use of it leaving a constant cloud of dust at their pass. Also, that section is hotter and uncover, so walking it didn’t really appeal us.    
Besides the AC, we also wanted to get to the Annapurna Base Camp within the Annapurna Sanctuary during our visit to Nepal. The track to ABC can be considered a side track of the AC, then both tracks can easily be linked. 
However, we knew that as the time went on, the monsoon would pick up and the days would get wetter. For this reason we decided to cheat a bit a take a bus from Muktinath to Jomsom and then another to Totepani. 
We don’t even have to say what type of buses they were: motors constantly about to choke, tyres completely worn off, benches instead of seats, loud Bollywood music on the sound system and people seating almost even in the stirring wheel. Both trips were quite tiring not only because of the expected shaking motion caused by the roughness of the road but also due to those Bollywood rhythms that, although we found them quite cool at the beginning, became nearly unbearable towards the 50th song sounding pretty much the same as all the others. 
Eventually, our bus made it to Totepani where mosquitoes are voracious like lions or, even worse, Fiordland sandflies. Enrique ended up sleeping with a t-shirt covering his face, and by that point we did not have any clean t-shirts. Yeah, it was that bad.
