Tutorial: cajones-estante / Tutorial: drawer-shelves

Siempre he querido hacer esto: convertir unos cajones en estanterías. Lo he visto en algunas revistas y páginas web de diseño y me encantan.
I’ve wanted to do this for a long time: to turn some drawers into shelves. I saw it on any design magazines and websites and I love it.

Necesitamos pintura, cola, agua y papel bonito (yo he utilizado papel para envolver regalos).
We need paint, glue, water and any nice paper (I used wrapping paper). 
1- Lo primero que tenemos que hacer es limpiar muy bien los cajones.
1- First thing we should do is to clean the drawers thoroughly.

2- A continuación pintamos los lados del cajón, por dentro y por fuera. Dejamos secar una primera capa y pintamos de nuevo.
2- Next, paint both sides inside and out. Allow to dry and apply a second coat.



3- Para pegar el papel necesitamos una mezcla de cola y agua a partes iguales. Podéis comprarla ya hecha, pero no es necesario. Cuando la pintura esté completamente seca, ponemos con un pincel una capa de esa mezcla en el fondo del cajón y colocamos el papel cortado a la medida. Después ponemos otra capa de cola y agua por encima del papel. No os preocupéis si se arruga un poco, cuando se seque quedará bien.
3- Make a mixture of equal parts of water and glue for sticking the paper. It’s possible to buy it, but it isn’t necessary. When the paint is completely dry, add a coat of this mixture at the bottom of the drawer using a brush and place the paper on. Then, add another coat of the mixture on the paper. Don’t worry if it creases, it will be perfect when it’s dry.

Quedan preciosos, ¿verdad? Muy pronto los cuelgo en la pared.
