Last week, I had the pleasure to be on the first Wearable Tech Catwalk introduced by The App Date in HUB MADRID.The show presented not just fashion projects but also social media & medical solutions. After all, all the gadgets were garments and accessories.First, I would like highlight the 13.56 bracelet (Thirteenfiftysix) because its minimalistic design and its low cost concept, presented as the alternative to expensive wearables as Google Glass or smartwatches. The second project I would like to underline is Close to the Body, a workshop supported by ESDI and IAAC and led by Marina Castan and Óscar Tomico. On of the products developed in this workshop is TRAILBLAZER, a sensor jacket that leads you all around the city.
Destacar, en primer lugar, la pulsera 13.56 de Thirteenfiftysix por su diseño minimalista y por presentarse como la alternativa low cost a los wearables de mayor coste, como son Google Glass o los smartwatch.Y en segundo lugar, el proyecto-taller Close to the Body impulsado por la Escuela ESDI y el IAAC y liderado por Marina Castan y Óscar Tomico. En este taller se desarrollan tecnologías como la de TRAILBLAZER; una chaqueta con sensores capaz de guiarte por toda la ciudad.
