As you may know, or probably not, the last week took place 080 Barcelona Fashion. A showcase where catalan designers showed their SS15 collections. This time, for lack of time, I only attended for 2 journeys, the last days coinciding with the designers I think have more to tell. Between mass market fashion brands shows, pseudo celebrities-models, selfies, seeing and being seen and else... I want to write about what caught my attention, the shows I saw that keeps the desire to come back to this event the next time, but let's face it, are often left to the sidelines.
Big tricks to impress are not necessary when you have an identity brand so concrete and keeps rocking it. And Krizia Robustella proves it with her Miami Riot collection with some flavor to Spike Jonze's Springbreakers. Pastel tones that remains the typical Florida art-decó architecture with its characteristically prints are mixed with street style symbols and lots of attitude.
What I like the most about Manuel Bolano collections are the storytelling, his collections are made tot tell us a story and without a clear commercial focus, and I think that's what made him one of the big stars of this fashion week. The melancholy romantic with the spirit to go back to the childhood surrounds the inspiration of The boy with the sad eyes collection with a high quality fabrics and amazing patterns, as always!
When we see color and print combinations, we normally associate that with some brands dubious in good taste. But Brain&Beast are the opposite of that, it's color combination and positive mood well understood. It last collection succeed with the last ones with an unprejudiced message with stunning total looks and clothes. And of course, deserve an special mention the accessories created in collaboration with Musa bajo el árbol which are simply perfect.
Pablo Erroz made his debut at 080 and did not disappoint. His collection, sober with a modern twist raised the applause from the audience due a perfect combination of tradition and modernity. Without being too risky and with a commercial point, every look defined the lines of a collection in which the hi-tech fabrics, textures, prints and contrasts are the keys.
