Receta de los clásicos Bay Biscuit, crujientes, dulces y con ese sabor tan tradicional que nos transporta directo a la infancia. Se preparan muy fácil y con sólo 5 ingredientes.

Los Bay Biscuit son una delicia clásica de sabor simple y textura crujiente que se ha ganado un lugar en muchas mesas argentinas, sobre todo como infaltables de la hora del té o el mate. Su nombre puede sonar internacional, pero en realidad esta receta tiene una fuerte raíz en la cocina casera, con ingredientes sencillos y un resultado que siempre sorprende.

  • Harina Leudante 150 Gr.
  • Huevo 3 u.
  • Azúcar 140 Gr.
  • Aceite 40 Ml.
  • Esencia de Vainilla 1 Cdita.

Procedimiento

En un Bowl colocar los huevos juntos con el azúcar y la esencia de vainilla.
Batir intensamente hasya que la mezcla se vuelva de color más clara y espumosa.

Colocar la harina en un tamiz y añadir al bowl en dos tiempos, incorporando bien utilizando una espátula haciendo movimientos envolventes.

La Harina Leudante se puede reemplazar por 150gr. de Harina Común + 1 1/2 cucharaditas de Polvo de Hornear.

Separar dos cucharadas de mezcla en un bowl a parte y añadir el aceite.
Batir intensamente para incorporar.
Colocar nuevamente en el bowl e incorporar con movimientos envolventes.

Esto lo hacemos para equiparar densidades y sea más fácil de incorporar el aceite al resto d ela mezcla sin perder el aire que generamos en el batido inicial.

Aceitar y enharinar un molde cuadrado de 23x23cm.
Verter toda la mezcla dentro del molde y distribuir de forma pareja.
Hornear a temperautra media (180ºC) durante 10 minutos.

Retirar del horno y dejar enfriar unos minutos.
Luego librar los bordes con una espátula y desmoldar.
Cortar a la mitad y luego en barras (de unos 2.5cm).
Colocar sobre una fuente y hornear a temperatura baja (150ºC) durante unos 10 minutos.

Retirar, voltear todas las barras y hornear otros 10 minutos a temperatura baja (150ºC).
Retirar del horno y dejar enfriar por completo para que sequen y queden bien crujientes.

Disfrutar en el momento con una infusión, es muy típico humedecerlos en una taza de té o café, también en una leche chocolatada para los más chicos.
Los que sobran, se pueden guardar en un recipiente cerrado ya que duran varios días.

Ingredientes

  • Harina Leudante 150 Gr.

Procedimiento

  1. En un Bowl colocar los huevos juntos con el azúcar y la esencia de vainilla.
    Batir intensamente hasta que la mezcla se vuelva de color más clara y espumosa.
  2. Colocar la harina en un tamiz y añadir al bowl en dos tiempos, incorporando bien utilizando una espátula haciendo movimientos envolventes.
  3. Separar dos cucharadas de mezcla en un bowl a parte y añadir el aceite.
    Batir intensamente para incorporar.
    Colocar nuevamente en el bowl e incorporar con movimientos envolventes.
  4. Aceitar y enharinar un molde cuadrado de 23x23cm.
    Verter toda la mezcla dentro del molde y distribuir de forma pareja.
    Hornear a temperatura media (180ºC) durante 10 minutos.
  5. Retirar del horno y dejar enfriar unos minutos.
    Luego librar los bordes con una espátula y desmoldar.
    Cortar a la mitad y luego en barras (de unos 2.5cm).
    Colocar sobre una fuente y hornear a temperatura baja (150ºC) durante unos 10 minutos.
  6. Retirar, voltear todas las barras y hornear otros 10 minutos a temperatura baja (150ºC).
    Retirar del horno y dejar enfriar por completo para que sequen y queden bien crujientes.
