Los finalistas han sido escogidos de entre los 29 filmes premiados en los festivales de animación europeos de mayor prestigio. Las películas seleccionadas son 'A Family Portrait', de Joseph Pierce (Reino Unido); 'Krokodill', de Kaspar Jancis (Estonia); 'Logorama, de François Alaux, Hervé de Crécy y Ludovic Houplai (Francia); 'Sinna Mann', de Anita Killi (Noruega); y 'The Tale of Little Puppetboy', de Johannes Nyholm (Suecia). El cortometraje de animación ganador será anunciado en la próxima edición de Cartoon Forum, que en breve tendrá lugar en la ciudad húngara de 'Sopron'. El acto de entrega del galardón tendrá lugar el 17 de septiembre. Los directores de cada corto tendrán la oportunidad de presentar su película a un auditorio compuesto por importantes profesionales de la industria de la animación europea y fortalecer así sus lazos con el sector.
