This year I have retrieved an old photography (August 1988), taken in New York, during my second visit to such an exciting city. On board of the ferry to Liberty Island, the background shows a piece of the city that is already a part of its history: Twin Towers raised with arrogancy, ignoring how their future was going to be. Nowadays, when everything around us is changing and it looks like it is not going to stop changing; when it seems to be that every day a new cycle starts; when we are unable to refrain from talking about crisis twenty times a day; let this image of the past to convince us that, in spite of so many changes that sometimes are tough to be accepted, we must keep our illusions alive, we must stick on our best wishes and, above all, the hope to rule our lives. The fact of everything changing must not prevent us from fighting this change to be always an improvement.
