Bueno bueno bueno…… me acabo de encontrar con Dan Witz o mejor dicho con un vídeo suyo que puede encajar perfectamente en este día. Dan Witz nació el 19 de Octubre de 1957 en Chicago IL. y estudió en la Rhode Island School of Design y en la Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture.En 1978 se trasladó a Nueva York para ingresar en la Cooper Union, de la que salió licenciado en 1980.En 1978 pintó una serie de pequeños fuegos en las paredes de su escuela en un gesto de rechazo a la esterilidad de su posmoderna arquitectura. El suceso supuso un escándalo y Witz fue expulsado para ser vuelto a aceptar después por miedo a la reacción del alumnado. El artista sostiene que esta experiencia le hizo consciente del poder comunicativo del trabajo público independiente de forma que ya no dejó de practicarlo.
