Cuando empezó el otoño os propuse hacer nuestro propio pot pourri otoñal y ya os comenté que había redescubierto las flores secas y el pot pourri. La razón de ese redescubrimiento fue preparar los detalles de boda de Marta, por los que surgió la idea de estos post llenos de información práctica para novias en apuros…

At the beginning of autumn I told you how to make your own autumn pot pourri and I already told you I’ve re-discovered pot pourri and the beauty of dry flowers. The reason was Marta. She told me to help her with her wedding favors and the reason to start this post serie to give accurated information for brides in crisis… 

La primera idea de Marta fue la que finalmente triunfó, tarros de pot pourri para las chicas, para que el aroma de las flores secas les recordara ese día tan especial que compartieron con ella.

Marta had the idea of the pot pourri jars for women, they should remember the wedding when they smell the flowers back home.

Marta quería que su boda no terminara nunca y por eso quería que sus detalles de boda se pudiera llevar fácilmente, para eso los tarros eran ideales, así que nos pusimos manos a la obra y aquí tenéis el resultado. Unos tarros llenos de preciosas flores secas por menos de 3 euros.

Marta wanted the wedding to last forever, so she wanted favors easy to carry and jars were ideal, so we start working on them and here you have the result. Jars full of beautiful dry flowers under 3 euros each.

Materiales para 50 tarros:

• Flores secas (70 € medio kilo)
• Tarros de conserva para paté de 230 ml (22 €)
• Papel kraft o peganitas de papel kraft (8 €)
• Cartulina kraft para las etiquetas (3 €)
• Cuerda (3 €)
• Troquelador en forma de círculo (13 €)

Total: 2,38 € por tarro

You will need (for 50 jars):

• Dry flowers (70 € half a kilo)
• 230 ml verrine jars (22 €)
• Kraft paper (8 €)
• Kraft cardboard (3 €)
• Cord (3 €)
• Circle punch (13 €)

Total 2,38 € each favor.

Siguiendo el diseño del resto de materiales de la boda creamos unas etiquetas con los nombres y la fecha. En un primer momento pensamos en hacerlas adhesivas, pero finalmente probamos con papel kraft pegado con pod podge y funcionó a las mil maravillas. Así que imprimimos etiquetas y fuimos troquelando, después pegamos en las tapas y dejamos secar. Colocamos las flores en los tarros, los cerramos, preparamos la cuerda y las etiquetas, previamente impresas y terminamos poniendo nombre a cada tarro. En total unas 4-5 horas de trabajo para montar los tarros. Gracias Marta por dejarme ser parte de los preparativos de tu boda!!

We follow the wedding design and created the circle labels with the names and date of the wedding. We first thought of making them in adhesive kraft paper, but we couldn’t find it at a budget so we tried it with ordinary kraft paper glued with mod podge and it worked perfectly. We printed the labels and cut them with the punch, glue them and let them dry. Cut tags with the guests names and prepared them with the cord to tied them to the jars. We needed 4-5 hours to assembly the jars. Thank you Marta for letting me part of the wedding arrangement.
