La fértil escena indonesia, que bulle con creatividad y respeto al género, nos entrega a músicos con vasta experiencia que, tras su demo «Human Depravation», desatan la tormenta de sangre de su álbum debut de larga duración, «Eviscerating Desolation», a través del sello Comatose Music.
Si bien la fórmula del brutal death metal está bien establecida, el resultado de Devastrosity es abrasivo y gloriosamente predecible. La influencia de Disgorge no es una sombra, sino un plano trazado que la banda sigue con una fidelidad que, aunque resta espacio para una personalidad completamente propia (a diferencia del caos de Malignancy o la maestría jazzística de Defeated Sanity), garantiza una ejecución pulcra y viciosa.
Desde la escalofriante introducción, «Human Depravation» arroja al oyente a un infierno de batería frenética, riffsmasivos y voces inhumanas, todo entregado con una precisión perversa y malvada intención. A pesar del asalto abrumador de muerte y desmembramiento, el álbum posee una claridad inquietante en su sonido, permitiendo que los elementos de salvajismo sádico de pistas como «Morbid Desires» sean discernibles.
Pistas como «The Dealer Of Death» son absolutamente aplastantes, con guitarras ricas y densas que irrumpen con riffsque conectan a un nivel visceral. Por su parte, «Devastate Atrocity» añade estilo con riffing ligeramente más altos y diabólicamente ágiles, bajo un filo desollador de gravity blasts. La pasión por la música, la agresión de toro-demonio, posee cada nota.
La crítica honesta debe señalar la naturaleza derivativa del trabajo y su uniformidad compositiva, marcada por la ausencia de hooks memorables y una restricción casi completa a las cuerdas más graves de las guitarras. Ninguna de estas quejas es inválida, pero como réplica débil, el álbum es tan puramente disfrutable que esos deméritos no importan al fan existente.
Sin embargo, esta pureza no nublada por la moralidad lo convierte en una obra estrictamente para el fan del género. No posee el enfoque compositivo inventivo de un Wormed que atraería al oyente casual. Devastrosity no hace prisioneros: es un asalto ininterrumpido de caos, blastbeats y slams atonales. Es BDM en su mejor expresión, plagado de enfermedades, consumidor de cadáveres y desgarrador de carne. Intenso hasta la última gota de sangre.

From the chilling introduction, «Human Depravation» casts the listener down into a hell of frantic drumming, massive riffs, and inhuman vocals, all delivered with wicked precision and evil intent. Despite the overwhelming onslaught of death and dismemberment, the album possesses an unnerving clarity in its sound, allowing the elements of sadistic savagery in tracks like «Morbid Desires» to be discernible.
Tracks like «The Dealer Of Death» are absolutely crushing, with rich, thick guitars that break out with riffs that connect at a gut level. For its part, «Devastate Atrocity» adds flair with slightly higher and devilishly nimble riffing, under a flaying edge of gravity blasts. The album is infused with an uncontrollable need to kill; it is a rabid gore-soaked nightmare until the bloody end in «Cadaveric Feast». The passion for the music, the bull-demon aggression, possesses every note.
Honest criticism must point out the derivative nature of the work and its compositional sameness, marked by the absence of memorable hooks and an almost complete restriction to the lower strings of the guitars. None of these complaints are invalid, but as a somewhat limpwristed retort, the album is so purely enjoyable that those demerits do not matter to the existing fan.

It does not possess the inventive compositional approach of a Wormed that would attract the casual listener. Devastrosity takes no prisoners: it is an uninterrupted assault of chaos, blastbeats, and atonal slams. It is BDM at its best expression, disease-ridden, corpse-consuming, and flesh-rending.
