EL CORREDOR DE INVASIÓN MADRID-LISBOA EN LOS CONFLICTOS PENINSULARES(Ver el trabajo completo en el Documento 59del enlace: http://moisescayetanorosado.blogspot.com.es/p/paginaprueba.html)Moisés Cayetano RosadoDoctor en Geografía e HistoriaRESUMENSublevada Portugal contra los Austrias, a partir de 1640 la Raya hispano-portuguesa sufrirá largos periodos de invasiones, asaltos, rapiñas, sitios, batallas… renovadas a comienzos del siglo XVIII, a mediados del mismo, y de nuevo a comienzos y unos años más tarde en las dos primeras décadas del siglo XIX.De los diversos corredores de invasión en la frontera, la línea Madrid-Lisboa tendrá un primordial protagonismo en las confrontaciones, llevando a un refuerzo de sus poblaciones de vanguardia y retaguardia rayana, especialmente en Portugal. ABSTRACTOnce Portugal had risen up aganist the Austrias, from 1640 on, the Spanish-Portuguese "Raya" (border) suffers long periods of invasions, assaults, robberies, sieges, battles... renewed in the early eighteenth centrury, in the middle of it, and again at the begining and a few years later in the first two decades of the nineteenth century.Of the various invasion corridors along the border, the Madrid-Lisbon line will have a key role in the confrontations, leading to a strengthening of their vanguard and rearguard populations, especially in Portugal. Bastioned artillery and fortifications, forts and watchtowers will be fundamental in territorial defense.
