Designed by Francesco Faccin, the "Factory of Honey" offers a safer alternative to traditional hives. The wooden structure, which is about 14.5 feet (4.35 meters), has a "chimney" at the top, where the bees come and go. This height keeps them away from children and makes the hive is less susceptible to vandalism. A glass panel is provided to protect the bees while making it possible to observe them. The beehive is also designed to maintain a constant temperature and good ventilation. The new endeavor is now on display in the garden at the Triennale Design Museum in Milan.
