El póximo 24 de noviembre se celebrará en el Microsoft Theatre de Los Angeles la nueva entrega de los American Music Awards.
Estos premios se crearon en 1973 como alternativa a los Grammy, presentándose como los galardones que deciden los propios consumidores de música por encuesta popular, dejando a un lado el criterio de los profesionales del sector. Por lo general, los AMA suelen ser destinados a los artistas más populares del momento, independientemente de si destacan por su calidad o simplemente por haber tenido una buena promoción previa.
La lista de nominados a los American Music Awards 2019 aparece liderada este año por Post Malone, que acumula siete candidaturas, entre ellas, a Artista del Año. Le siguen Ariana Grande y Billie Eilish con otras seis nominaciones.
