La historia del Escuadrón Suicida se remonta a 1959 cuando se publicó la primera versión del Escuadrón, un cuarteto de aventureros formado por Rick Flagg y su novia Karin Grace, el Dr. Hugh Evans y Jess Bright, aunque por aquel entonces no tuvieron mucha suerte. Otra cosa fue El Escuadrón Suicida publicado en 1986, donde aparecieron como una Unidad de Operaciones Especiales del Gobierno de EE.UU. en la línea de Doce del Patíbulo, estando formado en parte por supervillanos que conmutaban su pena en función de su rendimiento en el grupo, también había personal de mejor reputación o héroes de segunda con ganas de volver a sentirse útiles. Estreno el 5 de agosto de 2016 en Usa, y el 19 de agosto del 2016 en España.
