After reaching the deadline, Málaga CF has agreed to accept the services of World Cup footballer Ghanaian Owusu-Abeyie, who becomes Málaga's seventh signing since Sheikh Abdullah Al Thani took over as president of Málaga Club de Fútbol. This winger, who has a Dutch passport, hails from Qatar Club Al-Sadd and is on loan for a year.

Owusu-Abeyie passed his medical on 6th August in the Málaga Club de Fútbol-Clinicas Rincón Health Centre and joined Jesualdo Ferreira's squad in Germany, where he made his debut in the blue and white strip against Wiesbaden, in the last game of the German tour.
Quincy, who played for Ghana in the 2010 South African World Cup - took part in two games with the African selection - started in the junior ranks of Ajax of Amserdam. The now blue and white player, later signed for Arsenal, playing for three seasons before he transferred to Spartak Moscow where he stayed for the next two years, 2006 and 2007. In the 2007/08 season, Celta Vigo offered him his first Spanish experience. He then completed his British tour with Birmingham City, Cardiff City and Portsmouth before signing with Qatar Club Al-Sadd.
The player was presented in the Press Room at La Rosaleda.
