Richard Hamilton (1922-2011) ha sido considerado el creador del pop art quien experimentó en el campo durante 60 años de su carrera profesional. El Museo Nacional de Arte Reina Sofía ofrece el exhaustivo trabajo de Hamilton desde los años cincuenta hasta sus obras del 2011. La exposición analiza su relación con el diseño, pintura, fotografía y la televisión, y también la relación profesional con otros autores. En la exposición se pueden ver las obras más conocidas de Richard Hamilton, “White Album” de los Beatles; las series pictórico-fotográficas de Mick Jagger “Swingeing London 67”, “My Marilyn” o “Just what is it that makes today’s homes so different, so appealing? ”

The Queen Sofía Museum presents the works of Richard Hamilton, who apart from being the key figure of PopArt is one of the most influential British artists of the 20th century.
Richard Hamilton (1922-2011) has been considered as the PopArt founder who experimented during 60 years of his professional career. The Queen Sofía Museum presents the Hamilton´s work from the 50´s until the year 2011. This exhibition explores his relationship to design, painting, photography and television, as well as his engagement and collaborations with other artists. Among the work exhibited you can find the most known pieces of Richard Hamilton “White Album”, the depiction of Mick Jagger in the iconic series “Swingeing London 67”, “My Marilyn” or“Just what is it that makes today’s homes so different, so appealing? ”.
