Feliz Semana y Hasta laPróxima!-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Recently took place in Madrid the Mercedes Benz Madrid Fashion Week (old Cybele’s Fashion Week) in its Fall / Winter 2014-2015 edition. Once again, the economic crisis has been felt in the fashion party of Madrid, with the absence of some official designers of the fashion show, and the rise of new designers and talents, consistent but less known, that knew how to wait for their moment to shine in a platform as important as the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Madrid. Also we felt the presence of less stands in the exhibition area, and in general a little austere atmosphere, but without losing its creative force. Madrid Fashion still has a lot to say, and although the circumstances are hard, Spanish fashion continues to consolidate its own style and spaceOnce again IFEMAwas the place chosen for established designers, independent and new designers for showing their proposals for the upcoming Fall / Winter 2014-2015 season, not only in the catwalk, but also in the showroom area, where we could see the work of another important and talented group of creators. The fashion from Madrid is notable for its contrasts, being in one side very refined, minimalist and restrained, which makes it very wearable and sober, and on the other side being irreverent, risky and very little commercial but with profound conceptual bases. This catwalk of Madrid stands for introducing these two extremes, usually without midpoints, and for being one of the most popular of the Spanish fashion. In AF Modawe always support the Spanish fashion, and we want to share with you the creative ideas and fashion shows we liked the most for the upcoming Fall / Winter 2014-2015:TERESA HELBIG:Always wonderful and creative, we love her feminine and rebellious style, always elegant, her perfect pattern and versatility. For next fall / winter 2014-2015 this brand is inspired by the 60-70's, choosing geometric prints (printed and embroidery) in bright colors on neutral chromatic bases, bringing light and color to cold climates. She makes wonderful combinations of fabrics and colors in her proposals, using materials such as tweed, gauze, cloth and skin, in colors like camel, white, yellow, coral and black. Simply amazing!. In AF Moda we madly love this brand. We get crazy for their style!.
VICTORIO & LUCHINO:Sevillian designers propose for next fall / winter 2014-2015 a collection that blurs the silhouette of the woman with large volumes, but without losing her femininity and elegance. The color palette elected revolves from the basis of black and mix with green, brown, blue and burgundy. The point of color is in accessories and shoes, which gives the collection a touch of life in sobriety and elegance of black. They masterfully mixed prints with plain colors, as well as different fabrics such as tartan, cloth and silk. This is a very special and different collection that invites to a modern comfort from femininity and style. We liked it so much too!.
MIGUEL ALEX:This designer was the great discovery of this edition for us. We love his unique and groundbreaking style, but still feminine and modern. He presented a collection called "Hybrid" extremely interesting, with clothes that offer a new sense of modernity through its pattern and re-interpretation of garments mixing proportions, fabrics and shapes. The result is a group of garment with a wonderful and elegant asymmetry, achieved in simple winter fabrics like wool and organza. He leaves the color in a second place, focusing on shapes, working with different ranges of whites, grays, nudes and blacks. It is a brand with great strength, and we loved their proposals!.
LADY CACAHUETE:True to its fresh, feminine and natural style with shapes and cuts of the 50s , this brand introduced us to their tight waists, heart necklines, tube and flared skirts, but in an autumn / winter code. They worked with basic fabrics of winter, in colors gray, black, red and turquoise. It is a brand that invites to the femininity of yesterday but reinterpreted in modern and contemporary key for women with a lot of personality. It's always great to see it!.
As we can see, the Spanish Fashion continues finding ways to survive while reinventing itself despite adversity and times, and that is very important for both, the industry and for the new generations that follow a path forward to be in the complex and wonderful world of fashion. From AF Moda we will continue supporting these initiatives and new talents that grow in quantity, quality and strength every day across the country, making the Spanish fashion something unique in the world.Have a Nice week and See you nexttime!
