The print: Toile de Jouy

El estampado Toile de Jouy o traducido, Tela de Jouy, tiene sus orígenes en una región cercana a Versalles con el mismo nombre que el bucólico print; Fue muy famoso allá por el siglo XVIII y ahora, en pleno siglo XXI, la firma francesa Carven de la mano de su diseñador Guillaume Henry han vuelto a ponerlo en el punto de mira.
Vestidos, camisas, zapatos e incluso bolsos crean el total look safari print, un look que dicho sea de paso, ya han lucido las actrices Zoe Saldana y Keira Knightley.
¿Será éste el renacer del «Toile»?
The Toile de Jouy print has its origins in a small region near Versailles named the same way as this bucolic pattern; It was really famous in the XVIIIth century and now, in the XXI century, the French brand Carven and its designer Guillaume Henry have put it on the spotlight.
