Hattie McDaniel, la entrañable Mammy de 'Lo que el viento se llevó', fallecía un 26 de octubre de 1952. Todos sabemos que su Oscar a la mejor actriz de reparto fue el primero otorgado a una persona de color y nunca está de más recordar que Hattie no tenía el ridículo acento que se puede oír en el atroz doblaje español de la película.
Irónicamente, Hattie rompía barreras raciales en su país (no solo por ganar el premio; también fue la primera afroamericana que asistía a la gala, personal de servicio aparte) mientras aquí no tenían reparos en hacerla parecer una "negra zumbona".
