Alexander McQueen: Working process, by Nick Waplington

Un libro, una canción, una película… Hay cosas que en ciertos momentos te pueden hacer llorar, de alegría o de pena, pero al fin y al cabo, llorar.
Llorar como lloró la moda cuando falleció Alexander McQueen, como ya lo hiciera tras su 15º desfile Otoño/Invierno 2009-2010, el que devolvió la fe en el diseño a la mismísima Miranda Almond – por aquel entonces editora de moda de Vogue Uk – y que ahora, gracias al trabajo conjunto del fotógrafo Nick Waplington y el propio Lee ha sido recogido en “Alexander McQueen: Working Process”, el libro que detalla el proceso de creación de una de las colecciones más apabullantes del fallecido diseñador, Horn of Plenty.
Errático, incansable, descabellado… Más de tres años después de la triste noticia, Waplington ha decidido publicar el que puede ser una de las mayores fuentes de información acerca del modo de trabajo de McQueen, el hooligan de la moda.
Más de 250 páginas que mantienen viva la esencia de Lee Alexander McQueen, un merecidísimo recuerdo para todos los que vibrábamos con cada uno de sus diseños, Working process.
A book, a song, a film… there are things that in certain moments may you make cry, with or without joy, but in the end, crying.
Crying just like fashion did when Alexander McQueen died, like it also did before, after the fashion show of Fall/Winter 2009-2010 collection, the one that gave back the faith in design even to Mirand Almond – Vogue Uk Fashion Editor at that moment –, and that now, thanks to the join work of the photographer Nick Waplington and Lee himself has been gathered together in “Alexander McQueen: Working process”, the book which details the creation of one of the most overwhelming collections signed by the designer, Horn of Plenty.
Erratic, tireless, part hare-brained… More than three years after the sad new, Waplington has decided to publish one of the greatest information source of the working mode McQueen had.
More than 250 pages that maintain alive the essence of Lee Alexander McQueen, a well-deserved memory for all of us who trembled with each of his designs, just that, Working process.
