Ambiente preparado 12-15 meses – Prepared environment 12 -15 mo

Hace tiempo que quería enseñaros los últimos cambios en nuestro ambiente preparado en casa, y además os lo debía porque me habéis preguntado mucho por la litera desde que os la enseñé en instagram, así que aquí lo tenéis: nuestro ambiente preparado 12-15 meses.

Dormitorio

Poco antes de que Sara cumpliese 1 año sustituimos la cama de Alejandro por una litera. Durante unas semanas sólo utilizó su cama para algunas siestas y siguió durmiendo en nuestro dormitorio por las noches. Pero ahora lleva ya un par de meses durmiendo allí con su hermano (otro día os cuento cómo fue la transición de nuestro dormitorio al suyo).

La litera la compramos en muebles LUFE, teníamos pensado comprar la MYDAL de Ikea, pero descubrimos ésta que es muy parecida pero es para colchón de 190 cm (la de Ikea es para colchón de 200 cm), y nos vino genial para ahorrar espacio.

Cortamos las patas para convertir la cama de abajo en una cama de suelo, y la pintamos de blanco. Como queríamos que la pintura fuese ecológica y que se viera la veta de la madera, utilizamos la misma pintura que en la pared, pero diluyéndola un poco con agua. La pintura es de Leroy Merlin, y la protección de la escalera también, que me lo habéis preguntado mucho 😉

Además de la litera, pusimos unas baldas a la altura de la cama de Alejandro, una de ellas hace la función de mesita de noche y las otras están a los pies de la cama y son para guardar sus Lego fuera del alcance de Sara. Las hicimos a medida para las cajas GLIS de Ikea, que son ideales para organizar las piezas de Lego.

A lo largo de la pared que hay bajo la ventana pusimos dos filas de especieros BEKVÄM, de Ikea, pintados también de blanco, para crear la librería (seguro que ya habéis visto este ikea hack miles de veces, porque es bueno, bonito y barato!)

Y para terminar con el dormitorio, pusimos unos percheros a la altura de cada uno, con una foto suya encima. Las fotos las hicimos hace meses en el Parque de las Ciencias de Granada y nos han venido perfectas para esto!

Otro día os enseñaré el armario y los cajones con detalle, porque si no este post va a ser larguísimo!

Salón

Si recordáis como estaba el dormitorio anteriormente, estaréis pensando dónde hemos metido las estanterías en las que teníamos los juguetes, verdad? Por suerte tienen el tamaño perfecto para esta zona del salón bajo la ventana, así que ese es su nueva ubicación. Además el sitio es perfecto porque está en el salón pero junto a la puerta de su dormitorio, así que tienen los juguetes a mano tanto si están en una habitación como en la otra.

No sé si se aprecia en la foto que mantenemos la barra y el espejo. La barra tenemos pendiente quitarla porque hace meses que Sara no la utiliza, pero el espejo tal vez lo dejemos porque le podemos dar uso para la caja de luz y otros juegos (y además así el salón parece más grande!)

Baño

Vamos a terminar este tour por el baño, un lugar que ha sufrido unos cuantos cambios desde que Sara empezó a caminar.

Alejandro ya utilizaba el lavabo sin escalón ni nada desde hace tiempo, así que en el baño ya apenas quedaban restos del ambiente preparado. El espacio es escaso pero hemos creado una zona de aseo personal junto al bidé (os prometo que ésta es la mejor foto que he podido tomar con el poco ángulo que tenía, imaginadme empotrada en el wc cámara en mano! LOL)

Como veis hemos puesto un espejo, una jabonera* y un vaso para los cepillos de dientes en la pared, todo es de la serie STUGVIK de Ikea, que se coloca con ventosa sin agujerear la pared, así que cuando los subamos de altura a medida que Sara vaya creciendo no dejarán marca! En el suelo hay un cubo para la ropa sucia y el orinal (se queda un poco encajonado, pero a Sara no parece importarle).

*El dispensador de jabón líquido que veis en la foto anterior no fue una buena idea (Sara no podía utilizarlo y se frustraba) así que lo sustituimos por una jabonera en la que ponemos una pastilla de jabón. También os enseño el cepillo para el pelo y la toalla que hemos colgado en el espejo.

Y eso es todo... Por ahora! Ya sabéis que el ambiente preparado va evolucionando a medida que cambian las necesidades de los niños, así que pronto os enseñaré nuevos cambios!

I have wanted for a while to show you the latest changes in our prepared environment at home, and I also owed this post to all of you who have been asking me about the bunk bed since I shared it on Instagram, so here you have it: our prepared environment at 12-15 months.

Bedroom

Shortly before Sara turned one we replaced Alejandro's bed with a bunk bed. For a few weeks she only used her bed for some naps and slept in our bedroom at night. But now she is sleeping every night there with her brother (on another post I tell you how was the transition from our bedroom to her new bed).

We bought the bunk bed at LUFE, we had planned to buy MYDAL at Ikea, but we found it to be very similar but 10 cm shorter (the Ikea mattress is 200 cm), so it was great for saving space.

We cut the bottom to turn the bed into a floor bed, and painted it white. As we wanted the paint to be eco and to show the grain of the wood, we used the same we used for the wall, but diluting it with a little water. The paint is from Leroy Merlin.

We also put some shelves up to the Alejandro's bed, one of them acts as a bedside table and the others are at the foot of the bed to keep his Lego away from Sara. We made them to measure for GLIS Ikea boxes, which are ideal for organizing Lego pieces.

Along the wall beneath the window we put two rows of BEKVÄM, also painted white, to create the library (you have probably seen this ikea hack a thousand times, because it is good, nice and cheap!)

And finally, we put some racks up to each kid's height, with their picture above it. We took the photos months ago in the Science Park of Granada and they have been perfect for this!

Another day will show you the closet and drawers in detail, because otherwise this post will be very long!

Living room

If you remember the bedroom as it was before, you must be wondering where we put the shelves where we had the toys, right? Luckily they are the perfect size for this area under the window in the living room, so that's their new location, which is perfect because it is in the living room but by their bedroom door , so they have the toys by hand whether they are in a room or the other.

In the picture you can see that we keep the bar and mirror. We will soon remove the bar because Sara does not use it anymore, but maybe we'll keep the mirror because we can use it with the light box and other games (and also so the room looks bigger!)

Bathroom

We will end this tour in the bathroom, a place that has undergone a few changes since Sara started walking.

Alejandro was already using the sink without step or anything, so in the bathroom there were no remnants of the prepared environment. Space is limited but we have created a grooming area next to the bidet (I promise this is the best shot I could take with such small angle, you can imagine me leaning against the toilet, camera in hand! LOL)

As you can see we hung a mirror, a soap dish* and a cup for toothbrushes on the wall, everything is of the STUGVIK Ikea series, standing with cup without drilling into the wall, so when the go up high as Sara grows will not mark! On the floor is a laundry basket and the potty (it is a little squashed, but Sara did not seem to care).

*The liquid soap dispenser you see in the above photo was not a good idea (Sara could not use it and got frustrated) so we replaced it with a soap dish in which we put a bar of soap.

And that's it ... for now! You know that the prepared environment evolves as the children needs change, so soon I will show you more changes!
