AOED Superhero

Today, I am a superhero.
I'll tell a little bit about my job. As I said before, my mother owns a paper shop and is located next to a school (high school from which I graduated). It's the high school with more enrollment across the state, with 1890 students between 11 and 19 years old. What's good for business, students always need to make copies, buy pencils or print homeworks so that's why we're there for.
We have been working 6 years in this place so we have seen many of them graduate and the ones we met in 7th grade are graduated as well.
Sometimes it's frustrating, every day we see how culture has been lost, raising children is no longer the same, the parents go to work early and the children do what they want during the day. They become rude, disinterested, belligerent and girls have lost their shame. Cases are terrible, really terrible. We must see to believe.
Today I feel superhero because, despite that I spend little time with these guys (about 5 minutes, while they buy what they need) I always try to counsel them, talk them away from the bad things, correct them. Something we have as a rule is they can't smoke inside the place, we don't sell cigarettes, sad to see a little one smoking.
PDA, kissing, touching, etc are not allowed inside the shop, we know that love at that age is intense but if we let them do it, who knows what they'll outside?.
We try to teach manners, such as "please", "thank you" "good morning / afternoon", "goodbye. " It's amazing how the use of manners, have been lost.
We can see the results, there are many who walk away upset but they always come back with a better attitude because all we do is help, we are their friends and they can trust us. So, yes I make copies and sell pencils, but I also put my bit to make of this world a better one.

Hoy, la superheroe soy yo.
Hablaré un poco de mi trabajo. Como he dicho antes, mi mamá es dueña de una papelería y está ubicada al lado de un liceo (el liceo del que me gradué). Es el liceo con más matrícula de todo el Estado, con 1890 estudiantes entre 11 y 19 años de edad. Lo que es bueno para el negocio, los estudiantes siempre necesitan sacar copias, comprar lápices o imprimir trabajos así que para eso ahí estamos nosotras.
Llevamos 6 años trabajando en ese lugar, hemos visto graduarse a muchos y los que conocimos en 7mo grado ya se graduaron también.
A veces es frustrante, día a día vemos como se ha perdido la cultura, la crianza de los niños ya no es la misma, los padres salen a trabajar temprano y los hijos hacen lo que quieren durante el día. Se vuelven groseros, desinteresados, agresivos y las niñas han perdido la verguenza. Se ven casos terribles, de verdad, espantosos. Hay que verlo para creerlo.
Hoy me siento superheroe porque, a pesar de que paso muy poco tiempo con estos chicos (como 5 minutos, mientras compran lo que necesitan) siempre intento aconsejarlos, alejarlos de las cosas malas, corregirlos. Algo que tenemos como regla es que no pueden fumar dentro del local, no vendemos cigarrillos, da tristeza ver a un pequeñin fumando.
No les permitimos besos y caricias, sabemos que el amor a esa edad es intenso pero si los dejamos hacerlo dentro del local, ¿quién sabe que harán afuera?.
Intentamos enseñarle modales, tales como "por favor", "gracias" "buenos días/tardes", "hasta luego". Es increible como se ha perdido el uso de modales.
Podemos ver los frutos, hay muchos que se molestan pero siempre regresan con una mejor actitud ya que lo único que hacemos es ayudarlos, somos sus amigas y cuentan con nosotras. Así que ademas de sacar copias, pongo mi granito de arena para hacer un mundo mejor.
