Arte urbano en Nápoles

La ciudad de Nápoles está repleta de interesantes obras de arte callejero, murales, graffitis, posters y pinturas llenan las deterioradas paredes de muchas de sus calles y suponen un atractivo turístico que muy a menudo tienen su significado y simbolismo. Alguno de ellos son únicos y famosos en el mundo como la "Madonna con el arma", único trabajo documentado por Banksy en Italia y está precisamente en el centro de casco antiguo de Nápoles, en la Piazza dei Girolamini.
Otro de los ejemplos mejor conservados y más llamativos es el "San Gennaro", una pintura de más de 15 metros de altura, en el lateral de un edificio de viviendas junto al Palacio Forcella. Una obra con una enorme naturalidad y profundidad de expresión que une la tradición, la religión y el arte urbano como método de expresión artística.
