Dicen que lo que se aprende de pequeño nunca se olvida. Debe ser cierto porque en el cole (allá por el Pleistoceno...) aprendí a hacer unos centros de navidad que al final acabo haciendo cada Navidad.
Se necesita:
ramas de abeto una vela algún adorno de navidad agujas de moño cordel fino cinta de lazada un cuchillo una patata. (Siiiii una patata!!!! Parece que no tiene lugar aquí pero en seguida veréis que si)
Se trata de practicar un agujero en la parte superior de la patata de la medida de la base de la vela y envolveremos la patata en papel de plata.
Después con la ayuda de un cuchillo tendréis que pelar la punta de cada una de las ramas con el fin de que os sea fácil clavarlas en la patata.
Es conveniente empezar por la base e ir subiendo disminuyendo cada vez el tamaño de las ramitas a medida que ascendemos.
Finalmente colocamos la vela y anudamos un lazo (en la base o como en este caso el la parte superior vela). Pasamos un cordel fino por los adornos (pueden ser cascabeles como veís en las fotos, bolas de navidad... lo que se os ocurra) y pasamos el cordel por una aguja de moño y la clavamos en la patata.
Este año, además recorte unas casitas en cartulina blanca, las pegué a un bastoncillo de brocheta de madera y también las clavé.
El resultado aquí lo tenéis!!

People say that one never forgets what he learnt when he was a child. It must be true since I learnt to do this centerpiece at school (in the Pleistocene age, of course) and I do it every Christmas.
You'll need:
Pine branches a candle some Xmas ornament bobby pins twine ribbon
a knife one potato (ooh yes... one potato. Maybe you don't understand why now, but you'll see why very soon)
Make a hole on the top of the potato (it has to be of the measure of the base of the candle) and then wrap it in aluminium foil.
Peel the end of the pine branch with the help of a knife. It will help to you to nail it into the potato.
You have to start from the base and reduce the measure of the brach while you're ascending.
Finally put the candle into the hole and tie a ribbon in the candle. Pass a thin twine across the Xmas ornaments and nail down into the centerpiece with the help of a bobby pin.
This year I also trimed down two little cardboard houses and I stick them to a long chopstick to nail them easily in the centerpiece.
