Hoy toca ponerme a decorar mi casa con espíritu navideño, mientras va sonando el fantástico Mesías, de Händel, maravillosamente interpretado por la Sinfónica de Chicago. La verdad es que todo se envuelve de una atmósfera delicada y tierna, evocando esos años infantiles en los que todo es perfecto, aunque no lo sea del todo. Es el tiempo de reunirnos con la familia, los amigos, comer turrón y alargar las sobremesas sin mirar el reloj.
Today we put me to decorate my home with Christmas spirit, while listening to the great Messiah, Händel, wonderfully played by the Chicago Symphony. The truth is that everything is wrapped in a delicate and tender atmosphere, evoking those childhood years when everything is perfect, although it is not completely. It is time to gather with family, friends, eating nougat and lengthen the hours of food without watching the clock.
Y, cómo no, lo mejor es dejar volar la imaginación para hacer de nuestro hogar un espacio especialmente agradable y cálido. Por eso aquí os dejo una selección de los objetos y detalles que elijo para estos días, a base de tonos neutros, pero también notas de color rojo y dorado, para darle más alegría, que de eso se trata.
