Cine: Dallas Buyers Club

Suelo referirme a películas que recomiendo que veáis. La mayoría de las veces es así o en caso de no serlo, hablo de películas que aunque no me entusiasmó su argumento, algo de ellas me atrapó. La actuación de los personajes, la estética, decorados… Dallas Buyers Club, es ante todo, una gran película. Ellos, los dos protagonistas, tanto Matthew McConaughey como Jared Leto, son ambos increíbles. Grandes merecedores del Oscar que han conseguido. La transformación física de ambos, es algo asombroso. Tan asombroso como el cambio de Charlize Teron en Monster. El argumento, por ser real, tiene ese atractivo y despierta ese interés por permitirte ser conocedor de una historia que posiblemente muchos desconocíamos. Argumento y actuación estelar que te atrapa de principio a fin.

I usually talk here about films that I recommend you to see but in case I don’t love the plot of a film, I can also have here a space to talk about that film, because I found on that one other reasons to be memorable. The acting, aesthetic, the scenes… Dallas Buyers Club is, first of all, a great film. They, the two main actors,Mathew McConaughey and Jared Leto, are both amazing. Both deserved the Oscar they won. Their physique transformation is just awesome. As awesome as the transformation Charlize Theron got in Monster, in 2003. The argument, for being a real story, has enough attraction to get you and makes you feel interested because it lets you to know a real story that most of us didn’t know. Brilliant acting and plot.

Basada en la vida real de Ron Woodroof, un cowboy de rodeo texano, drogadicto y mujeriego, al que en 1986 le diagnosticaron SIDA y le pronosticaron un mes de vida. Empezó entonces a tomar AZT, el único medicamento disponible en aquella época para luchar contra tan terrible enfermedad.

That’s a film based on the real life of Ron Woodroof, a texas cowboy, drug addict and womanizer who was diagnosed of AIDS in 1986 and was said to live just one more month. From then, he started to take the AZT, the only medicine available to fight against the illness in that period of time.
