¡Buenos días, amigas! Como muchas sabíais he estado de descanso unos días por lo que anuncié en facebook que no iba a publicar durante una semana (hasta hoy). Pero aquí estamos de vuelta ¡y a la carga! Dentro de poquito vienen cosas muy emocionantes… ya os iré contando a medida que se acerquen.

Good morning, beauties! As many of you know I’ve been on holidays for a few days so I announced in facebook that I wasn’t going to update for a week (until today). But here we are, back and ready to go! I’ve got some very exciting news coming on soon… I’ll let you know more as they get closer.

For those of us makeup enthusiasts cosmetics are like the stamps or vintage cars collectors: our collection is not just functional but it’s exactly that, a collection, and the simple pleasure of owning a certain product is enough to make us happy. Raise your had if you get me!

Sin embargo muchas veces no nos da el presupuesto para comprar todo lo maravilloso que tenemos en mente o queremos probar con otros productos ‘Low Cost’ antes de invertir en el ‘Real Deal’. ¡A veces incluso los clones de productos se vuelven una colección en sí misma!

However sometimes we don’t have the budget to buy everything our little hearts desire or we just want to try with those low cost products before investing in the real deal. Sometimes even dupes become a collection on its own!

Pues queda claro que no hay nada como embolsarse un producto de culto; pero es que de verdad no hay nada como dar con el clon ideal. Y allá van 5 clones de 5 productos muy, muy buscados…

So we are clear that there’s nothing like getting a cult product; but it’s not less of a truth that there’s nothing like finding the ideal dupe. Here we go with 5 dupes for 5 very coveted products…

• Too Faced Leopard Bronzer – Uno de los bronzers más bonitos y duraderos que conozco. Pues este ‘Bad Boy’ tiene su clon!  NYX When a Leopard Gets a Tan viene a salvarnos el bolsillo por sólo £10 comparado a las £45 del de Too Faced.
  One of the most beautiful and long lasting bronzers I know. Well, this bad boy has got a dupe! When a Leopard Gets a Tan by NYX comes to save our hard earned cash for only £10 compared to the £45 for the Too Faced one.
• MAC Russian red – Posiblemente el rojo más buscado de todos los tiempos, color icónico de MAC. Además me recuerda a Red de ‘Orange is the New Black’ (alguien más está siguiendo la serie en Netflix? El Miguelito y yo estamos obsesionados!) De nuevo NYX viene a la carga con su labial Perfect Red. Y no echamos nada de menos

• MAC Cyber – El invierno pasado me preguntaron mucho sobre este color en No7 y no fueron pocas las marcas que sacaron su propia versión ya que ese tono tan gótico estuvo en pleno auge toda la temporada: rico, profundo e impactante sin duda! Desafortunadamente a mi no me queda bien ya que es demasiado potente y frío para mi coloración más suave y cálida, pero si eres un invierno y te atreves, por favor ¡hazte con él! Rimmel sacó el clon mejor hecho y más hidratante con el Kate Moss #4.
  Last winter I was asked again and again about this kind of colour in No7 and many brands jumped in with their own version of the gothic shade that was son in during the whole season: rich, deep and undoubtedly shocking! Unfortunately it doesn’t look good on me because it’s too powerful and too cool for my rather soft and warm complexion; but if you’re a Winter woman and you feel powerful, please, get yourself one of this! Rimmel launched the best and most comfortable to wear dupe with their Kate Moss #4.
• Benefit Coralista – ¿Quién no ha visto y oído hablar de este colorete tan famoso? Desde luego si eres ávida devoradora de vídeos de Youtube ¡no se te ha podido pasar por alto! Pues que sepas que elf Candid Coral es el clon perfecto. Y es un color muy de moda, ¡ideal si eres cálida y suave!
  Who hasn’t seen and heard about this famous blusher? In fact if you are an avid consumer of beauty videos you can’t miss it! So it’s good to know that elf’s Candid Coral is the perfect dupe. And it’s a very trendy colour right now, ideal for you if you’re warm and soft!
• Urban Decay Dew Me – He tenido el original y tengo el clon. Ambos me gustan por igual aunque quizás el de Urban Decay dura un poco más. NYX Dewy Finish es el clon el cual compré en IMATS y hasta ahora me está encantando. Por si no los conoces son sprays fijadores de maquillaje con efecto luminoso en vez de mate. ¡Me apasiona el acabado!
  I’ve had the original and I have the dupe. I love both equally although maybe Urban Decay’s is a bit more lasting and hydrating. NYX Dewy Finish is the dupe which I bought this year at IMATS and I’m loving it so far. In case you don’t know what this is they are makeup fixing sprays with a dewy finish instead of matte. I really like the look it leaves!

Llegadas a este punto sólo me hace falta que probéis estos clones y me contéis qué os parecen. La verdad es que vale muchísimo la pena darles una oportunidad. Esta idea de los clones surge porque me habéis preguntado mucho si la novísima paleta I Heart Chocolate de I Heart Makeup es un buen clon de  la Chocolate Bar de Too Faced. En mi opinión no cumple al 100%. La mayoría de las sombras tienen una buena pigmentación, pero hay algunas bastante polvorientas que no dejan un buen resultado al nivel con el que a mi me gusta trabajar. Y como en clones hay que tener en cuenta no sólo los colores si no la calidad, por eso no me ha parecido bien ponérosla. De modo que mejor os he hecho esta lista de 5 clones que SÍ valen la pena. ¿Os gustaría que saque más listas de clones?

At this point I only need you to try these dupes and let me know what you think. I totally think they’re well worth our time and money. This dupes idea comes from so many of you asking me about the new I Heart Chocolate palette by I Heart Makeup. You wanted to know if it is a good dupe for the Too Faced Chocolate Bar and, in my opinion, it doesn’t deliver 100%. Most of the shadows are well pigmented and soft, but some of them are quite chalky and don’t give me the results I like to work with. And because when talking dupes we need to look at quality as well as colour I decided not to feature it. So, instead, I’ve made you this list of 5 dupes that ARE worth it.
