Dirtrucks

Dirtrucks Tracklist:Soap And Cigarette

In early 2005, DIRTRUCKS started their career as a two-piece band in Tokyo with members DEE (ex. Cobrachicks and Motorcobra) and SAE (Rock Club DJ). The group was joined by RUI (ex. Polestar) several months later.
DIRTRUCKS first took to the stage within Japan in August and over the next few months played several gigs, which took place mainly within Tokyo. It was during this time that the group recorded their first demo record.
In January 2006, DIRTRUCKS performed in Austria and Sweden and whilst visiting the latter country, they were featured on a rock/punk program on a Swedish national radio station. After their return to Japan and further live activities, the group journeyed to the US in June. Their time in America saw DIRTRUCKS perform in San Francisco, Houston, Minneapolis and Detroit. Later that year, the group returned to Europe to perform in several countries including France, Germany and Serbia.
Shortly after their return to Japan in November, DIRTRUCKS released their first studio album Yellow Rose.
The next year saw a flurry of live activities for DIRTRUCKS, but sadly in November 2007, following a live performance in Nagoya, it was announced that DEE would be parting ways with the group. Following her departure at the end of the month, DIRTRUCKS went on an indefinite hiatus while they searched for a new vocalist and bassist.
Early 2008 saw the return of DIRTRUCKS with their new members CELICA and DETH-TOMO, forming a quartet. With this new line-up, the group returned to Europe throughout September as part of the first leg of a two part tour and performed in France, The Czech Republic, Germany, Poland and The Netherlands. Only a matter of months later, the second leg of the tour saw DIRTRUCKS perform in Switzerland, France, Italy and Spain.
In May 2009, DETH-TOMO withdrew from DIRTRUCKS, reducing the group to a trio. The group maintained a rigorous live schedule for the remainder of the year, continuing to perform with a support bassist while auditioning for a permanent replacement for DETH-TOMO.
With the beginning of 2010, DIRTRUCKS have announced that vocalist CELICA will be venturing to America in order to pursue her own solo career. However, this turn of the events does not signal the end of DIRTRUCKS as the other members of the group will continue to search for a replacement bassist.
Despite the minor setbacks in their career, DIRTRUCKS have established themselves as one of the groups to watch in the underground music scene.
