Earth Wind & Fire: Vitalidad, energía y espectacularidad

Decir queEarth Wind & Fire son pura esencia del funk de los años 70 es quedarse corto. Su fusión con otros ritmos y sonidos como el soul, el jazz, el blues, rock o Psicodelia, les proporcionaban una riqueza sonora y una fuerza espectacular. Al frente del grupo estaban Maurice White -batería, compositor y cantante con peculiaridades de tenor- y Philip Bailey -compositor, percusionista y principal voz solista con un falsete fastuoso- , que consiguieron aglutinar todos esos ritmos y sonidos, al igual que un elenco de músicos excepcionales. Vitalidad, energía, espectacularidad y unos directos vibrantes que recogen el espíritu de esos años 70 tan fascinantes.
Ellos no sólo eran capaces de explosionar con su música por medio de canciones como "September" o "Boogie Wonderland", tambien podían acurrucarse en sentidas y sedosas baladas como "Reasons" o "That's the Way of the World", explotando al máximo uno de los más conocidos falsetes de la música. Dinamismo y energía siempre positiva en sus muchos éxitos cosechados; los anteriormente citados, a los que se suma el mítico "Fantasy", el disco/electrónico "Let's Groove", el delicado "After The Love Has Gone", la funky "Shining Star", la rítmica y superconocida "Sing A Song", o la maravilla "In The Stone". Música llena de diversión que se difruta en cualquier lugar, y actuaciones en directo llenas de vida y complicidad que los hicieron únicos y los convirtieron en una de las mejores bandas de funk.
