Eye drops released for patients with MGD

Alcon has unveiled a new lubricant eye drop in its Systane family of products. The Balance lubricant eye drops have been specifically designed to restore the lipid layer and the natural tear film allowing relief of dry eye simptoms.
"Melbornian Gland Dysfunction is a significant cause od fry eye simptoms and now patients who suffer from dry eye associated with MGD can use Systane Balance to restore their lipid layer, re-establish their natural tear film and maintain their tear film stability" commented Dr. Sabri Markabi, Alcon´s chief medical officer and senior vicepresident of R&D.
