According to Ambrose Omordion, Director of Research, Investdata Consulting, "This annual investment conference has remained a turning point for market players over the years. This edition aims to help stakeholders identify opportunities and ideas for profitable business as we enter 2022, which is yet another pre-election year in Nigeria.

Over the past 10 years of Investdata's annual high, gold stocks have consistently outperformed the benchmark NGX. Those offered to participants at the end of the last Investdata summit held on December 4, 2020, for example, generated an average return on investment since the start of the year of 49.84%, at the close of trading activities on the 30 November 2021. In addition, over 80% of the preferred shares selected at the Invest 2021 Summit exceeded their targets, falling from over 40% to 60% in less than a year. The best of the bunch for investors and traders was Vitafoam Nigeria, which returned a juicy 222.53 percent, closing at N 21.90 versus N 6.79 per share; followed by United Capital by 122.35%, rising from N 4.34 on December 4, 2020 to N 9.65 each on November 30, 2021, reaching a peak of N 9.90 per share during the period; while Livestock Feeds closed the period up 59.38%, from N1.28 to N3.08. Dangote Cement followed with 41.77% at 280 N each, against 197.50 N, also helped by the ongoing share buyback program launched a few years ago, among others; May & Baker investors saw capital appreciation of 30.14% after its price climbed to N 4.49 each from N 3.45 due to improving sentiment for healthcare stocks resulting from various fiscal and monetary incentives aimed at improving the response to the devastating pandemic, among others; MTNN returned 22.58 percent from N155.00 to N190 per share, down from a high of N209.90, during the period; while Access Bank returned 15.85% at 9.50 N, against 8.20 N, after reaching a peak of 11.82 N. Lafarge was only able to generate 6.02% returns over the period ; ahead of Zenith Bank's 3.09%.
