La semana pasada y con motivo del 120 aniversario de del White Rabbit Saloon del que era propietario Jack Daniel's, la casa de whiskey reunió a un grupo de bloggers y periodistas de lifestyle - entre los cuales tuve el placer de estar invitado - para presentarnos en exclusiva la nueva botella de Jack Daniel's en edición limitada que, precisamente, conmemora el cumpleaños del mítico salón.
Last week, celebrating the 120th anniversary of the White Rabbit Saloon, who owned Jack Daniel's, the whiskey house gathered a group of bloggers and lifestyle journalists - among them, I had the pleasure of being invited, such an honour - to introduce us, the exclusive Jack Daniels' limited edition new bottle, that precisely celebrates the birthday of the legendary saloon. Se trata de un Tennessee, para los más entendidos en la materia, es un whiskey muy similar al Bourbon aunque con más graduación (43% Vol), algo así como top whiskey dentro de las bebidas premium. Reconozco, que nunca he sido muy de whiskeys (bueno para no mentir, cuando era muy jóven le pegaba cada lingotazo a las botellas de mi padre que no os quiero ni contar, él siempre bebía wiskey...), pero teniendo en cuenta la elegancia de la botella y el aroma contundente de éste en concreto, desde luego más de un día me tomaré uno "on the rocks", creyéndome que soy el mismísimo Jim Morrison, a quien le encantaba la marca.
This whiskey is a Tennessee, very similar to Bourbon but with more graduation (43% Vol), something like a top whiskey within premium drinks. I have to admit, I've never been a whiskey guy (well, being honest, when I was very young I used to drink whiskey from my daddy's bar...), but considering the elegance of the bottle and strongly smell of this one, of course, more than one day I'll have one "on the rocks", thinking I'm Jim Morrison himself, who loved this brand.

Mr Jack Daniel's - a man who looks like a lovely grandpa, had a strong moustache nothing like the current and trendy moustaches of these days - enjoyed meals and celebrations with friends, as well said the country manager of the house in Spain, Benjamin, so the event was a relaxed lunch meeting, in this case, with professional colleagues who, accompanied by a good selection of authentic southern American food - I leave the menu below - and a couple of cocktails whose the main ingredient was the Jack Daniel's 120th anniversary.
We spent a nice time trying to fix the world, Indeed we did. Needless to say, we didn't but, who really cares? The appointment, by the way, was at the O'Clock (Juan Bravo 25 st.), a legendary bar in Madrid which, I've always thought wanted to be more British than anything else but, in this case, as you can see, it looks like very american style, take a look at the pictures and you tell me.
