Kenzo has all eyes on usA día de hoy todos conocemos de buena tinta la “fiebre animal” que tanto Givenchy con su sudadera y sus collares XXL de dientes de tiburón, como Kenzo con su tigre han conseguido que alcance el término de epidemia.
Pero esto no termina aquí, Carol Lim y Huberto Leon, fundadores de Opening Ceremony y designers-in-chief de Kenzo han hecho girar los tornos, al parecer, y tomando como referencia su colección Otoño/Invierno 2013-2014, ya no habrá más must-have felinos, a partir de ahora todo serán Nazar, «el ojo turco» o piedra del mal de ojo.
Todavía recuerdo cuando hace unos años viajé a Grecia, todo estaba plagado de estos, según ellos, mágicos amuletos, ¿Será que Kenzo quiere prevenirse de las malas vibraciones?
Yo, por si acaso, voy a conservar los pequeños recuerdos que compré en las tierras del monte Olimpo, no vaya a ser…
Nowadays we all know the “animal fever” that both Givenchy with its shark sweatshirt and XXL shark teeth necklaces and Kenzo with the tiger printed one have achieved to be named as an epidemic.
But this doesn't stop here, now, Carol Lim and Humberto Leon, founders of Opening Ceremony and editors-in-chief of Kenzo, have made things change, because taking as a reference the brand's Fall/Winter 2013-2014 collection it seems that there won’t be more feline must-haves, and from this moment on every wished item will have a Nazar, also known as «Turkish eye» or evil eye, printed on it.
I still remember when the trip I made to Greece some years ago, everything was riddled with these eyes, which they think they are magical good-luck charms, so, is Kenzo preventing itself from bad vibrations?
Just in case I will keep all the little souvenirs I bought in the place where the Olympus hill is, because hey, who knows…
