A escasas tres semanas para que dé comienzo la primavera el sol empieza a irradiar sus potentes rayos de esperanza y los seres de sangre caliente sacamos el hocico olisqueando el sutil aroma de las mañanas menos frías y las tardes más largas. ¡Qué bien sienta un paseo por la playa! ¡Cuánto se agradece un vermut en la terraza! Pero por miedo a cantar victoria demasiado pronto, he sido cauta y he decidido seguir potenciando los looks más oscuros, las prendas más modestas y la regla del «menos es más». Por ello, me he enfundado estos días en líneas rectas, colores extintos y accesorios con complejo protagonista. Que ya habrá tiempo de florecer.
Quizá el espíritu sombrío del mes más corto del año haya tenido algo que ver en la elección de mis últimas prendas. Para aquellos que compaginamos el pluriempleo y la vida estudiantil hay ciertas épocas del año en las que nos condolemos con la misma intensidad que en el más funesto de los velatorios. Sin embargo, de la misma forma en la que el frío invierno se despide para dar la bienvenida a épocas más cálidas, los picos de ansiedad y agotamiento descienden hasta rozar el subsuelo donde se celebran las fiestas más animadas.
Recordad: quedan dos telediarios para que explosione el espíritu primaveral en escaparates y tiendas, para que nuestros armarios escupan prints y flúor y para que todos, repito, todos nos dejemos arrastrar por el más demente de los dichos españoles. Porque ya se sabe: La primavera…
About three weeks before welcoming spring the sun begins to radiate its powerful rays of hope and warm-blooded creatures put out our snouts to sniff the subtle aroma of warmer mornings and longer evenings. How great it is to go for a walk along the beach! How pleasant it is to have a drink on a terrace! But in fear of counting my chickens before they hatch, I have been cautious and have decided to further enhance darker outfits, show off modest clothing and follow the rule of «less is more». So I have squeezed into straight lines, extinct colors and condescendingly accessories. Blooming time will soon come.
Perhaps the dark spirit of the shortest month of the year had something to do with the choice of my latest clothing. For those of us who combine moonlighting and student life there are certain times of the year which makes us mourn with the same intensity as in the most fatal of the funerals. However, in the same way that the cold winter says goodbye in order to welcome warmer times, anxiety and exhaustion plummet to brush against the subsoil where the most exciting parties are celebrated.
So remember: shortly the spring-like spirit will explode in stores and shop windows, our wardrobes will run over floral prints and bright colors, and all of us —and I really mean all of us— will be dragged by the most insane of the sayings: spring is in the air…
