Laura Izibor: Shine

La aparición en el mercado discográfico de esta Dublinesa veinteañera llamada Laura Izibor, fue un buen revulsivo para activar el mercado discográfico del 2009. Comparada con grandes voces como la de Candi Staton, Roberta Flack, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott e incluso la mismísima Areetha Franklin, su juventud y descaro la convierten en presa fácil para que Atlantic Records intente llevarla a un estrellato y formar parte de ese ramillete de jóvenes talentos emergentes de ese nuevo soul comercial que tan buen resultado ha dado el año pasado. Pero debajo de esa apariencia joven, casi pueril y de inexperta mujer, se esconde el talento de una compositora, pianista, productora y cantante que se ha hecho a si misma. Ella comenta que " el descubrimiento de artistas como Marvin Gaye o Otis Redding la puso en la dirección correcta en lo musical" ( y a quien no diría yo). Eso hizo que se presentara a un concurso nacional a los 15 años, ganándolo al igual que otros diversos premios en su pais natal Irlanda, adquiriendo la confianza necesaria para saber que podría llegar lejos en la música.
Trabajos para varias bandas sonoras; 'Diarios De Una Niñera', 'Step Up 2', y en series americanas como 'The Hills' y 'Anatomía de Grey' y ahora su álbum de debut, Let the Truth Be Told, un disco donde quedan plasmados su estilo y gran voz soul llena de encanto, sus habilidades para tocar el piano y canciones que dan mucho de sí. Todo un lujo para nuestros oidos como este  "Shine".
