LMEDA Records presenta: 'Las 70 de Bob'

En su edición argentina del corriente mes, la revista Rolling Stone reproduce -¡obvio!- una nota de su edición yanqui y nos cuenta cual verdad de Perogrullo (?) las mejores 70 canciones de Bob Dylan.Como siempre, los amigos de RS convocan a un jurado de notables -Jagger, Richards, Bono, Jeff Tweedy, Sheryl Crow y algunos otros- para que nos digan la absoluta e infalible verdad: qué canciones de Dylan tenemos que escuchar sí o sí, cuáles son las que valen oro para el cancionero popular mundial (?), dónde está el germen de su genialidad poética y su desprolijidad musical. Aunque ese jurado luego pueda cometer variadas atrocidades, como dejar fuera de la inmaculada lista canciones infaltables (I want you, The man in me, Most of the time o She belongs to me) o no incluir ningún track de discos fundamentales en sus últimos veintipico de años de carrera (Oh, mercy, Modern times).
Por supuesto, sabemos que BD tiene más de 70 grandes canciones y, en fin, tampoco ignoramos que todo esto lo hacen para vender un par de numerillos de su publicitada revista... la que compramos como giles para luego indignarnos, como si Rolling Stone nos debiera algo a nosotros, miserables lectores ocasionales.
En el listado predominan, claro, los temas de esos cinco álbumes pilares en la discografía del hombre de Minnesota (The freewheelin' BD, Bringing it all back home, Highway 61 revisited, Blonde on blonde y Blood on the tracks) aunque cabe reconocer que dentro de las muchas obviedades, hay en la lista algunos temas escondidos en discos de descartes (las famosas bootleg series) y otros de menor valía dentro de su vasto trayecto (Saved, Infidels).
Todo esto para comentarles que se me ocurrió subir las canciones en el orden que les dio el magnánimo magazine norteamericano, para que ustedes, lectores ignorantes de BD o no, escuchen estas 70 grandes piezas de un mozo que cambió la historia del rock and roll y le sirvió de las mejores palabras y una épica única. Retorno triunfal del sello LMEDA Records.
