Lo que he aprendido con mi moodboard the otoño/ What I’ve discovered through my fall moodboard

Mi viaje a Grecia fue tan accidentado gracias a la inoportuna niebla en Amsterdam que acabé con 4 revistas de moda y decoración. En algo tiene una que echar el tiempo cuando le restringen el wifi… Casi siempre acabo almacenando las revistas sin volver a mirarlas, así que decidí probar a hacer un moodboard de moda de otoño, a ver qué salía.

My trip to Greece was a little eventful due to the unexpected floog in Amsterdam, so I end up a 24 hours travel with 4 different fashion and interior design magazines. I had to do something during the off line time… Usually I end up collecting this magazines without looking to them again, so I thought I could select the pictures I liked the most and try to make a fall moodboard. 

La verdad es que estoy tan acostumbrada a utilizar Pinterest que no sabía si tenía mucho sentido eso de pasarme al mundo analógico y “coleccionar” imágenes me iba a aportar gran cosa. Pues la verdad es que me ha sorprendido gratamente la experiencia. Me di cuenta de que mi espíritu retro sigue ahí, todas las imágenes que recolecté eran de prendas estilo años 70, gran década de la que ya voy por el segundo o tercer revival en mi, ya no tan corta, vida… ;P Y eso me hizo pensar en el modo en el que recolecté las imágenes, fui seleccionando todas las que me gustaban y de ahí cogí las que realmente me encantaban y la verdad es que salió algo sorprendentemente homogéneo.

I’m so used to collect all the inspiration in Pinterest, i didn’t really know if it was worth to try to go analogic and bring together paper images. Well the experience was amazing. First I realized I’m still a retro woman; all the images where 70’s style, I’m found of this decade and at my second or even third come back in my, not so short, life… ;P This made me though about the process. I started selecting the images randomly and then made a second selection and it was stunning homogeneous. 

Hace unos días que empecé a pensar en la decoración navideña (que nadie se agobie todavía es que para planificar los post necesito adelantarme a lo que ocurrirá en el futuro cercano) y creo que este año voy a seguir este proceso para seleccionar cómo va a ser la Navidad A Kiss of Colour.

I began thinking about Christmas decoration some days ago (don’t panic I have to plan ahead the blog post) and I think I will try this moodboard process to select this year colour palette and inspiration. 

Si estáis organizando una fiesta especial o vuestra boda, quizá deberíais pensar en imprimir o seleccionar algunas imágenes y objetos que os inspiren y colocarlos físicamente unos junto a otras, quizá os sorprenda el resultado como a mí.

If you too are trying to get the perfect inspiration for a special occasion or your wedding, I suggest you to try it. Print or select paper photos and other inspiring stuff and put them together and let’s see what comes out of it.
