Más Diamantes...

El día 16 de Noviembre del año 2009 el popular sello discográfico Moshi Moshi Records, apostó por un single de un desconocido dúo que se hacían llamar Samuel & The Dragon, compuesto por Samuel Chase y James Cameron. Dicho single contenía dos temas: “Diamonds on a boat” y “Rising Up”, ambos seguían las pautas de la más pura electrónica acompañada de la desoladora voz de Samuel, en el más genuino estilo soul. Yo los presenté debidamente en la sección de Novedades el 19 de noviembre, aunque ya sonaban por todos los medios desde octubre de aquel año. Y aquellos que habíamos quedado deslumbrados por el brillo de esos diamantes, nos quedamos esperando otro single, o un ep, o noticias de un álbum, pero nada, pasó el 2010, llegó el 2011, y aquí estamos terminando julio, cuando me dio por investigar si había noticias sobre Samuel Chase, (ya que el dragón James Cameron había desaparecido) y por fin, por fin, me encuentro con esto:

Dreadnought es la nueva aventura compartida entre el productor y dj Jack Dunning (a.k.a. Untold) y el vocalista Samuel Chase (a.k.a. Samuel & The Dragon). La pareja debutó con “Caroline EP” el 11 de julio. 4 adustas composiciones híbridas en clave dubstep-pop, de cierto aire industrial, que combinan ritmos sin pulir, generosos borbotones de graves sulfúricos y el lastimoso tono vocal de Chase, en el que es inevitable vislumbrar la alargada sombra de Thom Yorke. El resultado es un trabajo de texturas ásperas y brisas distópicas que el dúo se autoedita.
Aquí están las nuevas canciones del nuevo dúo, el ep Caroline se compone de 4 temas y lo tenéis abajo, pero a mí el tema que más me gusta es el By the Wires, que no sé de dónde lo han sacado pero es buenísimo, por eso lo pongo en primer lugar:
