MET GALA 2016: Manus x Machina

Probablemente la alfombra roja más esperada del año por fashionistas, diseñadores, celebrities y modelos que buscan formar parte de la celebración o tan sólo tener la posibilidad de deleitarse con las creaciones que año a año sorprenden al mundo. La Met Gala es un evento benéfico que se viene celebrando desde 1948 para dar inicio a la exposición de moda anual del Instituto del Vestido del Museo Metropolitano de Arte de Nueva York cuyos fondos recaudados son los que financian dicho instituto.
Cada año la Met Gala presenta una temática especial, única y original bajo la cual los diseñadores y participantes deben encontrar inspiración y reinterpretar en vestimenta luciendo en la alfombra roja. "Manus x Machina" fue el tema del año representando la moda en una era de tecnología. Entre los invitados muchos looks acertaron, muchos esquivaron la consigna y optaron por lo seguro y muchos espantaron pero como siempre digo "lo que vale es la intención". Aquí mis elegidos por los Sí y por los No:
Probably the most anticipated red carpet of the year by fashionistas, designers, celebrities and models who seek to be part of the celebration or just to have the opportunity to enjoy the creations that every year surprise the world. The Met Gala is a charity event that has been held since 1948 to begin the annual fashion show from the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York whose proceeds are funding the institute.
Each year the Met Gala presents a special, unique and original theme under which designers and participants must find inspiration and reinterpret wearing gowns on the red carpet. "Manus x Machina" was the theme of the year representing fashion in an era of technology. Among the guests many looks were proper, many dodged the slogan and chose to play it safe and many frightened but as I always say "what counts is the intention." Here my chosen by the Yes and the No:

Grimes: se comprende su estilo único y personal pero no es para ir a la MET vestida así.
Dakota Johnson: no hay absolutamente nada bueno aquí, no me parece el vestido correcto para el lugar, demasiado juvenil para ella y a la vez muy antiguo si eso tiene algún sentido.
Irina Shayk: se sabe que es una de las mujeres más sexys del mundo pero no es necesario ese outfit, tal vez si fuese en negro podría arreglarse ya que suma un toque de elegancia pero no.
Rita Ora: me hizo acordar al famoso vestido de cisne de Bjork pero en versión plateada y más desnudo, menos trendy y más "wannabe".
Zoe Kravitz: la amo pero no entiendo lo que quiso hacer o en qué se quiso convertir.
Lady Gaga: otra que amo pero aunque respetó la temática me parece un outfit ya visto en ella, esperaba algo distinto, más "vavaboom".
Grimes: we understands her unique and personal style but you should never go to the MET dressed like that.
Dakota Johnson: there is absolutely nothing good here, I do not find the right place for this dress, it is too young looking for her and at the same time very old fashion if that makes any sense.
Irina Shayk: she is one of the sexiest women in the world but that outfit is not necessary, maybe if in black could be arranged because it adds a touch of elegance but no.
Rita Ora: reminded me of the famous swan dress by Bjork but in a less trendy, silver, more naked and "wannabe" version.
Zoe Kravitz: I love her but I don't understand what she wanted to do or what she wanted to convert into.
Lady Gaga: I love her as well but although she respected the theme I find this outfit as I already seen it, I expected something different, more "vavaboom"

Alicia Vikander: ella es perfecta, angelical y muy personal pero no me gustó, me pareció muy sobrecargado en muy poco espacio aunque lo supo lucir bien y los zapatos, se los robaría.
Kate Bosworth: de la cabeza para arriba es la perfección, su maquillaje es impecable al igual que su peinado pero de la cabeza hacia abajo estamos en problemas ya que su vestido me resulta contrastante de modo innecesario, si se hubiese seguido en tono frío metálico hubiese estado perfecta.
Taylor Swift: probablemente muchas personas vayan a odiarme cuando diga esto pero no comprendo su nuevo look, me da la sensación que parece estar intentando ser alguien que no es, un disfraz y me cuesta creérmelo, más allá de eso tampoco me gustó la propuesta, creo que mi problema reside en los volados de la pollera.
Alicia Vikander: she's perfect, angelic and very personal but I didn't like this outfit, I found it very overloaded in very little space, I liked the shoes though.
Kate Bosworth: head up is perfect, her makeup is flawless as her hairstyle but head down're in trouble because her dress I find unnecessarily contrasting, if it had followed in metal cold tone it would be perfection.
Taylor Swift: probably many people are going to hate me when I say this but I do not understand her new look, I get the feeling that it seems to be trying too hard to be someone else, a costume and I can hardly believe it, beyond that I didn't like the proposal, I think my problem is the flown from the skirt.

Florence Welch: es imposible no amarla y respetarla por siempre ser fiel a su estilo pero en este caso respetar al igual la consigna, su vestido debería estar en museo.
Kristen Stewart: haciéndolo a conciencia o no siempre marca tendencia y esta vez presentó uno de los "beauty looks" más admirados y comentados de la alfombra roja. Vestida en Chanel logró traer el punk a escena, hacerlo femenino, elegante y adaptó su estilo a la consigna, me encantó.
Kate Upton: simpleza, elegancia, temática en mente y mix de metálicos en un look que puede adaptarse al "mainstream".
Ciara: una de mis preferidas por animarse a más sin llegar al ridículo, tiene todo en la dosis justa.
Kate Hudson: su físico perfecto permite un vestido así, que logra ser "robotico" pero angelical.
Halsey: decidió optar por un traje en lugar de un vestido pero con cortes modernos que aluden a la temática del evento; simple, cómoda y acorde.
Florence Welch: it is impossible not to love and respect her as she is forever faithful to her style but in this case in tune with the theme, her dress should be in a museum.
Kristen Stewart: she is always a trendsetter and this time presented one of the "beauty looks" most admired and commented on the red carpet. Dressed in Chanel managed to bring the punk scene, with the perfect touch of elegance, femininity and adapted her style to the theme, I loved it.
Kate Upton: simple, elegant, with the theme in mind and mix of metals in a look that can be adapted to the "main stream".
Ciara: one of my favorites for daring more without being ridicule, has everything in the right dose.
Kate Hudson: her perfect physique allows a dress like to be "robotic" but angelic.
Halsey: decided to opt for a suit instead of a dress but with modern cuts that allude to the theme of the event; simple, comfortable and consistent.

Alexa Chung: me es imposible ser objetiva cada vez que aparece en escena porque siempre es una de mis preferidas pero en este caso destaco haber optado por un traje de corte masculino, al igual que su peinado creando un look andrógino pudiendo sólo ella verse aún así femenina.
Claire Danes: en sí y a simple vista su vestido es un vivo recordatorio de "Cenicienta" pero la magia está cuando las luces se apagan y cobra vida, allí es donde resplandece y la temática de la gala se cumple.
Gigi Hadid + Zayn Malik: es imposible hablar de uno sin el otro ya que ambos crean la pareja mejor vestida de la MET GALA, amé como combinaron sin opacarse, estando en sintonía y siendo protagonistas a la par.
Kylie Jenner: vestida bajo la firma Balmain logró un look muy "Kardashian" sin parecer vulgar ni demasiado excesivo, presenta el equilibrio perfecto para una gala semejante y fue muy acertado el maquillaje y peinado.
Alexa Chung: I cannot be objective every time she appears because she is always one of my favorites but in this case I love she opted for a suit with masculine cut, with a sleek back hairstyle creating an androgenic look that can only still look feminine only on her.
Claire Danes: the dress to the naked eye is a living reminder of "Cinderella" but the magic is when the lights go out and comes to life, there is where shines and the theme of the gala is met.
Gigi Hadid + Zayn Malik: is impossible to talk about one without the other because both create the best dressed couple of the Met Gala, I loved how they combined being in sync and being players at par.
Kylie Jenner: dressed in Balmain achieved a look very "Kardashian" without seeming vulgar or too excessive, presents the perfect balance for such a gala and was very successful with hair makeup.

Poppy Delevigne: mi preferida indiscutida de la noche, la perfección absoluta, la que cumplió con la pauta, logró un look cargado pero elegante, femenino, atemporal, dramático y la combinación exacta de todo. En esta fotografía quiero ser ella.
Poppy Delevigne: mi favourite of the nigjt, the absolute perfection, she archived the goal, managed to create a loaded look but also elegant, feminine, timeless, dramatic and the exact combination of all. In this photo I want to be her.
